Your pre-op appointment :
Presumably for Covid & MRSA swabs John. Start to worry if the male nurse has very large hands and dons rubber gloves matey!

Right with all the banter I've been thinking. How about we have the inaugural Rubberknees witty remark cheer me up competition So far there have been some beauties'. @Jon Dor you will need to post your EKA one for it to count. Winners will be announced later in the week and prizes will be what ever is left in my pockets after the wife has gone through them:D:D
I figured you'd await having your keyhole surgery John.
I'd go for something along lines of: EKA code required! Just send me the prize... Hahaha! Go with your gut feeling John...pun intended ¦~}

As you all probably know I have problems with my health over the years. Dodgy ticker among other things. Well I've decided to add another to the collection now. A few of the lads on here have been supporting me these last 3 weeks as I was found to have a large tumor in my colon. This has turned out to be cancer. Thankfully I can not praise the speed with which the NHS at Rotherham have tested scanned and looked after me. I have been given every assistance I and my wife need. Today after seeing the consultant he has confirmed that by the 22nd of this month I will be in for surgery to have the tumor removed. This is the only option open to me as the tumor is not in a position for Radiotherapy and because of my heart problems Chemo would kill me. The prognosis looks Ok though in time Mcmillan have warned me that there is a 50% chance the cancer will return.
SO me and @Jon Dor were wondering if my body could some how be a Land Rover. I am always breaking down and have numerous faults to boot. Or have I just come out in sympathy with having owned many LR's.:D:D

My dad had a colon cancer op in his sixties and had a dodgy ticker, soldiered on to 91!
I sometimes wonder if the creaking gate idiom has more than a bit of truth to it :)
