I've recently become a proud owner of a 90, when a bought it I was told it was a tax exempt hybrid, i've recently been told by a man in a pub that it's not legal and i will eventually get stung for it, please can someone tell me if this is true or not from the info below
first registered in 1964
re registered in 1975 as a P reg
90 series 3 body type
series 3 chasy
think its not 3 rear axle as it has a disk brake not a drum

the more I think about it the more I think I've been had and should start paying road tax again

Someone will be along to explain the 'points' system ... :)

Shame really - a poor old Landy gone forever ...:(

but you need to find out what you've got ... just in case you've been doubly had ... and it's nicked ...

oh yeah - welcome to LZ -

you'd best pop over to 'introduce' yourself' page and do that, before someone comes to chew yer arse ...

leave it in a supermarket car park and run, run like the wind......unless you have big angry friends.

if it's got coil sprung suspension and a TDI engine it's not tax exempt. unless it used to be a rangerover classic thats had a 90 body fitted.

take lots of pictures, sides, front, rear, chassis, suspension, dash and engine bay and you'll be told what mash of parts you've got.

Commiserations . Sounds like you have been had, been there myself. One of the perils of jumping into things without researching.

Don't want to compound the problem but it's not just the tax, the whole vehicle id is in question and may require a q plate.

Don't think they Q plate any more.

Did the OP get a ‘Confirmation of Compliance’ notification for his mobile spares pile?

its not sounding like a series:(

Definitely not.

Whats the rule on if it was registered before a certain date then it dosent need an IVA???

There is something somewhere about proving it was a "hybrid" and built rather than a "ringer"?
