every day is a new adventure when driving a range rover! but i do love it so its worth it.

what one you got?

An adventure is very right. The wheels on yours make a big difference - look like upgrades from the standard DSE ones. I just saw a 2001 DHSE on carzone in Limerick and I am sure it has DT alloys :( they don't look right to me anyway.

Right now I am using my Disco II as my daily runabout - might hold out for a 2002 L322 if i can find the right one. No rush anyway.

I did see one waiting to be fixed in Ballysimon motors in Mallow before xmas - had air suspension failure and the guy there told me that each corner was about €1000 to fix  Oh lordy.

I didn't realise that Paddy had moved on to dealing with L322's:eek:

He hated the P38's, he's a defender man at heart and hated the P38 electronics/BMW engine, only started fixing them because nobody else would! He's really gonna love the L322:D

He's a gas man, If you're talking to him tell him I'm still recommending him!!:p

Ha Ha

I don't think anyone was dealing with that L322. It was just sitting there looking forlorn and unloved :( I have a feeling the owner was waiting to win the lotto to be able to find the €4000 to replace the air suspension at all 4 corners - rather him/her than me anyway

Best guy in Munster is Paddy Buckley, Ballysimon Motors, Ballysimon Cross, Dromahane, Mallow, 087 2514409. He will be able to reset the fault no prob. He will advise you to replace the rad, but will not do it if you don't use an OEM replacement radiator.

Thanks Spudh, i'll give him a call, might as well go with OEM parts, i've come this far:) no turning back now...

I'll tow you :D:D we must be mad to be on here this late. Oh yeah I forgot am on duty :)

Hey irish Medic

I hope you're not on here at night if you're working in the ER

Just kidding - you must have been having a quiet night.

Don't forget - patients before Land Rovers - or is it the other way around :D

...back to post a note to spud h, irish rover and the rest of ye for advice.
last week - drove Rexton - major let-down on interior plastic but good space.
went to dealer to look at 2.5dse - it was DT , with no numberplates so couldnt drive it
Looked at ML270 - ok ,but kids and missus didnt like
Looked at 01 2.5 DSE ! had a badge of DT, anyway srs light on + airbag
+ needed glow plugs ....and mabye could have been smoother
Today - drove L322 3l diesel- 2002 - so I assume first off the line.
Private sale , seamed and honest gent ( lives about 20 mins away ) with as honest RR as I think i could find...so I paid deposit .....
.... here we go !!
going to get extra batteries for my laptop - i reckon i could be on here a lot

Ha ha ha! welcome to the club! its not a P38 but its still a range rover! and yes new batteries for the laptop might be the best investment you ever make for your L322. the advice and tips ive gotten from the lads on this site have been amazing.

Hi there, pleased you got sorted out, best of luck with your car. Don't seem to get that many posts on here with L322 problems...well not as many as the P38 !!

All I will say is, keep it well serviced and tackle the small jobs before they get serious.

:welcome2::clap2::clap2::car::beer2::beer2::beer2::beer2:

Well done TMT,

L322 is as sweet a motor as is out there, in a class of its own really - shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as a Rexton:p.

If you are lucky and it's a good one it will give you a driving experience like no other. As said above they don't seem to give as much trouble as the P38 but when they do it is more expensive. Best of luck with it and keep in touch. hopefully we won't see to many threads started by you:D:D

Spudh

thanks again
well fingers crossed ....all going well should have it end of this week
it needs a good clean ( a new sponge and few gallons of holy water should do the trick :))
Turbo has been replaced + two fuel pumps and other small stuff ...other than that it has history service.
