Thought you were organising it  (and what other laning trip?!)

Think we're going to go to the overland show and stop for a night, some more camping practise in the D3. Not sure about laning it on the Sunday though - it's currently in the garage costing me a hell of a lot... i don't think i'll want to do anything other than polish it ;) (i'm joking... i've never polished a car in my life and don't plan to start!)

I was organising Gloucester lanes and wales before that. I Can sort something out for stratford though now? might not have time to recce it

Id like to camp as well i think, but ill be in a fishing tent behind my defender rather than on top of it like you chaps :D

Either North Wales - could go to Shell Island too, but, lanes are probably a bit extreme for me to do at least, or, go to Leicestershire / Northamptonshire / type part of the world and do some more gentle lanes?

Or any other suggestion really.

North Wales could work, just won't involve as much laning for us all, but, I'm fine with that, my friends in their F2 won't be doing much either

Say hello "friend in F2"!!! :)

Are you coming to the show then Matt? Not 100% sure if we'll lane around Stratford at all - might just camp at the show - its the camping we need the practice at!

Going to see about getting a last minute club stand there tomorrow if you can come...

Evening Tim :)

It's the 2nd edition of the gaylander - different rules for the 2nd edition given that Land Rover made them a bit, well, less gay. (having spent the last 4 months driving one...)

i think everyone in concerned that they'll damage their Landy's by laning them  we've all become suddenly very precious of them

Right - i'm working on free tickets for us all on this one... stay tuned - you may have to pretend you're part of the Peak and Potteries club for the weekend ;) Can people let me know if they want free tickets if i can get them and if they're camping?

Im pretty sure a freelander 2 is still a gaylander :D

Erm yes to ticket and yes to camping please. :)

The misses and me are coming down on Sunday, but if there is a gathering on the Saturday evening we'd be interested. What's the score on the tickets with such late notice?

Have you really just put your mobile number on a public forum???

It's on my company website. I silence it at night. Doesn't really bother me!

what annoys me is the texts that cost me to receive them!

I used to do discos so advertised my number. As soon as yellow pages got the number it started, not just calls from random marketing and sales shizer heads but the texts and automated calls as well.

Really ****es me orf actually.

So far (touch wood and all that) not had any of them - had one from a very confused chinese girl the other day... not sure if she was trying to sell me sex or something... but, generally, I just get business calls. Oh and phone calls from the people who installed some double glazing for me 6 years ago trying to sell me guttering - they ring 4 times a year, every time i tell them to #### off and to remove me from their calling list... 3 months later they ring again

Bring the disco kit to AO :5bparty:

So my Disco is finally back, it's had every fluid changed, all bearings, discs, pads done, new air compressor for the suspension, lots of little things like ball joints, brake pipes, etc. Also had the A/T tyres put on the rims, they'll go on it tomorrow i expect,

Snorkel's on, roof rack, roof tent, twin batteries, inverter,

All in all, i'm getting there i think! :D

1 month to go...

inner steering rack and ball joints
rear N/S upper arm
front lower arms

given that the steering rack is cheap on the bill, i guess it's not a hard job... the arms however

Pics will emerge over the weekend from the show i imagine - it was dark when we got home last night (although... they're not going to be exciting pics really... i didn't do the work...)

Yes... yes it is...

Yeah the wishbones are a pain as you have to reset all the geometry to make sure it's all in line, steering ones are simple

Love modded D3's would love to go to morocco in our D4 :)
