Only broke one on my 101 V8 just after I got it rh bank rear the most difficult one to remove snapped off so couldnt remove as the hex head was in the socket!...had to remove head and take to head specialist as easy out tools didnt work PO fitted long reach plugs and thread locked the bloody thing...25€ extracted ready done next day...
What a pain.
Ok the cost of getting it taken out wasn't too bad, but the labour involved in removing the head and the cost of a new gasket at least? What a dick using thread lock.
This is why I am now ultra-careful and always use a torque wrench.

The next ten days looking very rainy and we still have a shed load of gardening to do that we ought to have been doing when W's foot was U/S ditto my back.
Invited round the new neebs for "apéro" tonight, (first time) but they asked about gluten and stuff so we think there is going to be eats as well.

Having dins at lunchtime just in case!!

Have a good day folks!:):):)

Not thread lock as in compound should have been short reach plug not long so it locked out and jammed against head...

Aha, get you now.
Who is stoopid enough to put the wrong plugs ina motor? How'd he know it wouldn't hit the piston head as well? (not that I know the V8 as well as I should. Especially since I now have one and have yet to turn a spanner on it!)

Guid morn
Terrific Tuesday.
Out for a paddle
