Fur enuff, but properly tanalised makes a big difference to the longevity of it, especially if it isn't left out all the time, AND you can cut a V in the top to make it like the sort of clothes prop my grannies both had!- 'cos wood rots too easily and the weight of damp washing waving about in the wind causes too much stress on any weakened post.
If you look at some of the prices on here, you'll see why they can be quite sought after. Thanks for your ideas but I think it is just easier to wait for the next gypo to come along looking for 'any old iron' and let him struggle loading it onto his truck.
There's one identical to mine in that lot and he /she is asking for £250 ono. for it! The gypos would be only be interested in the scrap value though. If you look at some of the prices on here, you'll see why they can be quite sought after.

Living away from habitation like I do means Gumtree is ineffective. And it is far too much effort - besides, I do not want callers around for security reasons. You can see why I asked you what you wanted for it.
If it were me, I'd flog it via Gumtree. They have always been good for me, and no one would expect you to send it off.
£250 might be useful towards your noo campervan!!!
And think of the space it'd free up!
Coupla pics like you've just done and 5 mins writing an ad? costs nowt!!!
Looking back at his question, I think his meaning is open to interpretation.Oh!
I must have misread it then.
So, for a post, yup scaffie pole, no question!

Fed me bobbin this mornin. Went to the normal spot and crouched down. Somefink landed in me arf conifer tree low down. Eye reached oot and put me wurns on the soil. Me bobbin landed on the soil at the back then hopped forwards a bit. Eye stayed still. He hopped forwards, closer to me. Looked at me ferra few seconds then went to me wurms. Eye was well appy. Thats the closet e's been. Eye watched for 10 seconds then thought he may be fearful of me being so close so stood up to movec away. He shot under the bush away from me. Eye moved away and he went back. Eye no's sudden movements are not good. But din't want to be there too long at arms lenf away from him eating. Prap's eye would have been best to stay still crouched down. Hopefully it will happen again. Eye can hear him churpin int garden at the moment. But we wanted a Bobbin update at the very least, or a report on Edgar's health and welfare.

Search fer washing line post in argos... general shout out for suggestions for what I can use for a washing-line pole that won't rot away.
We need something with a decent height and everything I find called "washing line XXXX" is only 8' tall.
So, suggestions on a postcard to "Clarke Towers" etc. etc. etc.

That's exactly what I use. Bit of tanalised 2x1 with a v cut in the top.Fur enuff, but properly tanalised makes a big difference to the longevity of it, especially if it isn't left out all the time, AND you can cut a V in the top to make it like the sort of clothes prop my grannies both had!
