Thats gottid me finking. My homemade mince and veg is done in me slow cookerer. Filled to the top makes about 5 or 6x 500gm butter tubs. Frozen fer later. Tis betterer for me than chop bort ready meals. Can eye do the same wiv chuck casserole? Make a big batch and freeze it fer later in butter tubs. It will be microwaved for 10 mins after thoring out int fridge. So reheaded propper like.
"Er indoors makes a gallon or so of curry, she batches the surplus into takeaway tubs and freezes it. Microwaves in about 4 minutes after thawing, with a one minute break after the first three minutes. Also freezes the surplus stoo and spag Bol , but they is in smaller quantities.

Packs of take away containers are available in £land and most supermarkets incl. Lidl etc.

A permanent marker, write on the lid, what it is and the date it went in, so you can rotate stocks ...

I would say yes but if I was you I would buy some air tight containers not expensive, to prevent dehydration as that would spoil it , or the zipped freezer bags
Eye loves me butter tubs. Gerrum free from sainsberrys when eye buys me butter. They dun't sellit wrapped in paper no more. When eye splits a tub eye has a free spare to replace it. Tis a principle. Reusing me tubs instead of buying propper ones. Edgar sessits environmentally friendly.

Bin trying to pot a rat!
Flipping thing managed somehow to get along a very thin wire strung between two laurel bushes to our bird feeder, hanging off the middle of it. The wire is purposely thin to keep squirrels off.
W spotted the beggar, I ran for me gun. He popped away before I could pop at him.
He came back, couldn't draw a bead on him. Think I disturbed him while sliding the patio door open.
Then W spotted him eating grain on the ground under the feeder. This time I managed to get a pellet off. I don't know if I hit him, he span around and ran off.
He's not been seen again.
Tomoz I will have a scrat around where he ran to.

Yuk, hate the things.
If he reappears we'll have to get better means, one's that won't harm our dogs. Maybe borrow summat off the dottir we saw today who had to employ a pro to get rid of one from their thatch.
Grr!

You can do that with most dishes like that. We do it all the time. Curries, stews, etc, even rice and pasta "one pot" dishes.
W tends to always over cater for us. You can reheat them from frozen but it is better if you do it your way. One tub will not take 10 mins heating though. more like 6 or 7.;)

If you use bags, it's a good idea to put a straw in the corner, and when you zip, or otherwise close them up, move it tight up to the straw then suck the air out then close it quickly once the straw is taken out. It cuts down on the icing up.
Write the date and the contents on it first, with a Sharpie.

How are those of you with boats or in the martitime trades responding to the new net zero policies? There was a piece about it in the Telegraph a couple of days ago https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/20...me-sector-impacted-miliband-net-zero-targets/ or to get round the paywall here's an archive link: https://archive.ph/U9lyY

Seems to me compliance with all this would be very expensive, and would represent a considerable environmental burden in its own right.

Our yard struggle with power for wafi's 200+ boats.
An electric powered mooring boat we'd run out of power just making coffee's 🤣 🤣

The world isnt ready to go full electric end of.

Will your dogs not dispatch it, my wee bitch would nail it but the other would want to play with it.
I came home to find she had dispatched one & was laying in her bed with it lying outside it. I think she was waiting for
it to move then she would nail it. If anything runs she's on it, but it if it stays still she'll wait but holds her front paw up
pointing tis funny to watch her.

One of our cockers would think it was a toy and risk getting bit, tother is too thick to do much at all!!
W isn't at all keen on any of our dogs getting hurt. Cockers are basically too soft for battle. ;)
