Only bad points for me are.......
Leather interior WHAT???? I love leather interiors!!!!!!
Six speed manual WHY??? You want an Auto???
Card in slot and push button to start When I was young it was "put key in slot turn it, push button to start" so what's the diff?? The lack of the need to turn?
Stop Start thingy You can disable that can't you?
Space saver spare wheel Agreed, I'd hate that too, but better than no spare ;)
And I'm not keen on sat nav thingy in middle of dash. Does it work? If not I too would not like it.
I suppose I'll get used to it though, and it was cheap ;):)

I am tempted to offer you money for it...!!! Sounds too good to be true!!!;);):):)

Prefer cloth or half leather, cooler in summer, warmer in winter
Dont like six speed as I always forget and drive in fifth
I'll get used to card start I spose
Sat nav working with new update or something
You could probably replace the leather interior with a cloth one and make a profit.
Only ever driven a hired 6 speed one. Only any use on M-ways. Or A roads with lots of dual cabbageways.
Glad the sat nav is working!

Still sounds like a nice car!!:):):)

I don't know where you live but in our place in France the water is so soft we have the opposite problem it can be so acid it eats tanks.
We catch all the water off our roofs in a big underground tank.
We have to have sacrificial anodes in out 300 litre hot water tank, which is heated by solar.
So hardness is something we only experience in our Brit place.

There are no miracles. :(:(:(
Interesting that your water is that soft. Ours is incredibly hard and we have to have sacrificial anodes as well and they do get eaten away - every couple of years I used to drain down our 150L heater tank and bucket out about 30kg of scale which had built up.

Hopefully that will not be necessary now but the anode will still have to be replaced at some point. I wonder if an anode of a different composition is required depending on whether it is protecting the tank from the effects of hard or soft water?

It's my cat's 15th birthday ...
Our cat earned his keep today, he caught a rat. I did take a picture of it but it's not a very nice thing to post...

He's only 7 though, we thought he wasn't bothered about mice and rats because whining for more brekkies is easier, seeing as he's obsessed with them. I'm sure they put cocaine in them or something, like Mrs. Doyle's cake.

I have to confess that I am not very "up" in how all this works.
I thought that a sacrificial anode works by oxidizing more quickly than the steel the tank is made from. I have no idea about what ours are made of. I just know that our water is acid to a minor extent, i.e. has a ph less than 7. In your case it must be the opposite, I guess yours must be cathodes. Never heard of that.

Remind us why it got demolished. Poor people. :(
We don't really know the exact reason but there was some kind of issue which resulted in an 'infraction' early on which is the kiss of death. She's been fighting it in the courts for about 15 years.

There's been two lorries up and down the track all day taking the rubble away and there's still a lot left, they're really erasing all trace of it. It feels odd looking down there from the road above when I remember taking some photos when there were only a few courses of bricks down when it was being built.

I must say I don't really know either, I'm just aware of it and I've seen that it gets eaten away after a while. I think you're right in that the anode will degrade in preference to the tank. Our water probably is a bit alkaline, in our case I think the anode is still called an anode though.

One of our previous cats would catch anything, spiders, birds and mice, another never did and had a small jumping spider she would watch for ages as he webbed up and moved around ...

Even this old boy still tries to catch bluebottles, sometimes he's lucky and is very pleased with himself ...
