Just before I went out this a.m. W's dottir rang up, I went out as the call began.
Went to the quacks to book a jab, then moved the car through Tesco's car park and out the other side to park at Motobitz, messed around ordering the right filters and oil for the TD5, (they had the oil in stock) looked at de-seize liquids, had a bit of a chat with the blokes there, one of whom it turns out is married to one of my ex students, sauntered out down the road to the printing place to buy inks for the printer, Jeezo the price, although there is more in them than usual, apparently.
Sauntered back, drove home.

W was still on the phone to dottir.

Flipped about yet more on the phone to enable it to read QR codes, (dunno how it happened without this last time.)

Been searching for tyres for the rear of W's car. Not helped by the fact that the wheels centres don't come out.. I'll have to drive to Poole prolly. Boring.
Enjoy the rest of the afternoon.:):):)

Landyzone Union.
Brothers and Sisters.
As you're aware, our Manchester Landyzone site, have raised an issue regarding new starters not showing naked images of their own Landrovers.
Recent CCTV recordings have confirmed this as so. Therefore funds for a security guard has been raised by the Bothlethwaite and Boggs Iron Clogs Footwear plc.
We appreciate this can have added bonus too, as they mentioned of possible infiltration to the site by Yorkshire Landyzone new starters.
So when new starters are from Manchester area, they can feel confident in their newly issued Iron Clogs footwear, to clock on at the site.

You've got too much time on your hands. Get an old Landy and some spanners, maybe a welding kit and the steel from a weeks output from a major steelworks.

Me tratter is poorly. Billowing white smoke out the exhaust. Noticed fluid dripping from the braided section of the exhaust anorl. Hoping it's an njector an nots the gasgit.
Need to check coolant level..
Update.
Fluid from the exhaust drip int diesel an the expansion tank is empty.
Best hopes are it's just the head gasgit.
Is a right sod, all the way to St Ives an back fer pasties wifout a blip anorl..

Pluriel booked in to a tyre place in Blandford. At least I know they can balance the wheels properly as last year they did the fronts.
£20 off if I buy two Falkens, which I will be doing.
The offside front hub on the Disco awaits now that the new one has arrived.
LOADS of "get out" paperwork in the box to do with why they won't pay up if the noodle doing the job hasn't done his due diligence. Never mind , pass the scaffold pole! ;)

Couldnt get a lpg engineer to come with new parts for our rangemaster cooker...
so I now have a stainless steel rangemaster pro 110 induction cooker in my living room as thats what she wanted.
I bought an rs4 she got a new cooker 🤣 🤣
Intrigued about this. What parts were needed and are they simply NLA? I can only think of jets.
I would say "you'll both be cooking on gas!" But obvs that doesn't apply.
Hope she enjoys it!:):):)

Is there anywhere in the West Midlands that can be trusted with an engine rebuild I wonder? I don't need one myself, but was having a conversation earlier with a friend who wants one. We've had long running threads on here about people operating under different names in Wolverhampton who end up stealing the car, not doing the work properly and/or charging a lot more than was initially quoted, or all of the above. Well it's not just Land Rover products. Any marque you care to mention. Bentley, Mercedes, Porsche, Audi, BMW - it's usually luxury machines that have a reputation for having complicated engines on which people don't want to work themselves. The internet is full of aggrieved reviews from customers who've not seen their car for months, or not at all, been ripped off, overcharged or had work that's not been done properly. It's rife in the Wolverhampton area, apparently. I'm glad I don't a) live in Wolverhampton b) have a luxury care that might need engine work anytime soon, and c) and d).

I had already replaced the jets but they said the regulator pressure was too high 44+ & it should be 30 somit.
