Afternoon folks.

Still working away in the last of the warm sunny days :).
Have been lighting the fire late afternoons, cos the air temps have been dropping once the sun goes down and its certainly chilly in the mornings. Only burning half a dozen logs at the moment but that will climb as the fire goes on earlier and needs banking up at night.
M looking at hotels for New Years eve in the big town, seems the 1 we usually use is not doing breakfast now:(. So new hotel experience coming.

The fender has developed a new squeak, (not the oinker I know that squeak) so I guess it will have to go over the pit for a looking at, its due prop greasing anyway. Suppose I should also check if the oil is still dripping to know it has some:p.

But all good here, Everybody else seems fine so that's good:).

Shouldnt be too hard ive managed to mangle snap on ones, cheap spanners will normally give way before you snap a stud
ie over tighten it until it does. I like this game 🤣 🤣
I'm enjoying this game too!
I used to find it sadly too easy to snap a bolt on undoing it when its held in by rust etc. Now I have learned to be a lot more gentle and use a bit more finesse (Sold in spray-on tins in Motobitz!)
It's been a very long while since I snapped one on doing it up. But then I bought my first torque wrench ages ago and am fastidious about using them.
What I hate is taking tight bolts out of ally. Went through a period with my Dolly Sprint where loads stripped the thread in the hole. Since then things have been easier.
BUT this is about box spanners! I think putting a socket on the other end of the box sp, then giving it welly is more likely to make it twist!

For the first time in days we are both up and out of bed.
W has been very bad with a flu type thing awful headaches, fever etc.
And I have had more runs than Tendulkar. (Yes, I did have to look that up!)
I even missed going for an MRI scan of my bonce. (Not a problem, just a regular check-up.)
So nearly nothing has been done.
Still not up to doing much, just hoping brekker will stay put for at least a little while.
Weather very dull and grey but at least not raining.
Enjoy the rest of the day folks.
:):):)

Get a mixed pack then.
Or ask @DevonGuy

They are not really that far away from you for a dirty weekend away.

A few years ago I built an engine for one of my bikes and then decided not to use it. Advertised it on my club website and a member from Germany agreed to buy it, his buddy was visiting the UK and would collect it and hand over the cash. And could I get him some British beer, to take back, as he was fond of it. SO I got him a pack of Spitfire Ale, a beer I am quite partial to myself and brewed locally when I was in Kent. Always wonder if he saw the funny side, Germans not being known for their sense of humour 😁

I have been promised a weekend away in a hotel in Cornywall, (Tintagel). (Once I have finished the utility room)
So @DevonGuy will not be happy about that!
But I could cop some GT ale on the way through.
Devon is close as the crow flies but slow to get to.
TBH I drink very little beer nowadays, as obvs drink a lot more wine and most frog beer is carp. But I do drink it as it gets so hot, lots in panaché (or as we Brits call it "shandy" or as they call it in Hull a "smiler", (maybe they don't any longer!).
Of course craft ale is usually only sold locally, we too have craft ales near us, but ordering it mail order it is heck of a price!
Maybe taste some and then bring a few packs back!

I always like a pint of Adnams when I visit my Mum & Dad. But will try any real ale. Most places will give you a taster if you ask.

But many places are sticking with the "easy" stuff for the trendies .
