We has yet again been up since sunrise to pick the last of the appuls, reckon we'll have another 100kgs or more to take with us tomoz.
Hot yet again but at least there is some wind!

... that brunch has been consumed here at castle Clarke.
I have to say I was very disappointed with the smoked streaky bacon.

It just tasted "wrong". Same brand and variety as always but just tasted manky.
Checked the pack, all in date etc. etc.
It may have to go out for the foxes (the other 10 rashers).

Aldi "Specially Selected" Dry Cure Streaky bacon 14-Rasher pack.
I've been eating this for years and never a problem, but this just tasted "odd/off/not-nice".
By the 5th rasher I had had enough for sure.

Weird. Are you going to tell them?
I'd be tempted to freeze it or at least put it in the fridge then take it to them when you can. They may have simply got a bad batch.

Got an email from the new neighbours across the road from us in the UK.
They never got our card so some busybody from the estate agents must have chucked it out!

Anyway they seem very nice and to have been welcomed by all in the close. Huh! we'll see how long that lasts when the neighbours from hell see them parking their cars on our land!
And when I am forced to tell them that the same dire lot have trespassed onto their land, (those opposite) to extend the nasty trellis fence that they put up originally between our place and theirs.
I have since found out that it probably breaks planning as well as the "open plan" covenant which we knew about but did nothing about!

Fun and games to come.

They are into motobikes so that must be nice!!! (rubs hands together with glee!!!

Must admit Aldi meats I've not really enjoyed. Have you been to the farm shop near the A13/a120 junction?
