Flipping DW didn't want to work properly on test. I plumbed it into the cold water to give it a proper test. It would pump out but wouldn't take water in, on a variety of progs.
W and I mulled it over, she wanted to kick it but I stopped her!
In the end we decided to put the water supply pipe back on the hot pipe where we have alwas had it up till now. Put it on the 30 minute cylce and, lo and begorrah, it is now running.
I will not dance until the fat lady sings but am a lot more hopeful.
I am wondering if the cold water supply pressure is too low as it is certainly higher from the hot tap than it is from the cold. And the Electrolux website says this can be a problem if the supply is at less than 20 psi.
Oops. Yet again stopped part way through a cycle and started beeping again, although it got a long way into it before this happened. At least it took water in this time.
Getting a bit fed up of this.
Well weirdly, after not wanting to finish the cycle I started it again and it now has done.Maybe you have a similar problem that we had. It takes water but not quick enough and registers low pressure. Ours started doing it after a long period of no use. It wasn't low pressure it was a blockage so the DW thought it wasn't getting water as fast as expected.
Put the hot feed on the cold feed (if you think the hot has more pressure) but dont have any hot water available see what happens.

That's interesting!Know some of the DW have water solonoids which open and close depending on the cycle , they have screens so indeed can block up
Another thing is they can become weak and not stay open enough , the pressure sensors then as suggested don’t register the correct pressure leading to it shutting down
Of course there are different systems , just a few that I’ve fixed in the past
Others were a nightmare from one thing to another so cut my loses and got a new one , alas some only lasted 5 x years even with a water filter fitted to try and reduce the scale
What? AGAIN???????
I have had a Pinto engine in a small trailer under a tarp for about 25 years. And I still have a Domomite Sprint 4 speed plus overdrive gearbox kicking around so long it is only worth scrap now. Stored it outside with no ATF in it.
So, good on you!
I collect parts for projects that I am slowly realising I will probably never achieve.
Wood Larch got to paint them this year 15 years old do them every 3 yearsVery nice!
and those shutters look interesting . Are they wood or PVC.
