............ and who is the poet today! :)
I have a little mantra, I say it to myself, I always keep it handy, not up on a dusty shelf.
It always helps me to stay calm when I am stressed or feeling sad.
I use it to remind myself that things really aren’t so bad.

When the black dog has got hold of me and I’m feeling rather glum,
my happy little mantra is “You’ll be alright old chum!”.

Whenever things “get on my tits” and I get to feeling blue,
I say my little mantra that's "Just work the problem through".

My advice to you that’s reading this is get yourself a mantra too.
You may find that it helps you when things get on top of you.

Don’t make it something hard to say, that ties your tongue in knots,
or gives you apoplexy and brings you out in spots.

Just make it something simple, to make you not so sad,
something to lift your spirits, so you feel so really glad.

My mantras often "You've got this, that’s why you are a dad!”.

Afternoon folks :) .

Not much to report really;).

We did pick up our new driving license's and all the correct boxes were ticked, M even got a couple more :banana:. So we are good for another 5yrs.

The temps are all over the place at the moment, we didn't light the fire a couple of days last week it was that warm.

M has caught me up last week in years but it wont last long before the gap goes back to normal again;). So we will be going to the best fish restaurant in town soon that serves the best venison in town:), pretty good fish too.

Sent M some links for my birthday present today;).
Why not?

Are they not the most terrible ones to choose?
1.8's suffered a lot of gead gasket failures. They run hot. A lot of it were probably not helped by the shape of the coolant reservoir. They crack around the hole at the top so the coolant system loses pressure. There were some issues in production but they got sorted out. There's much discussion over the gasket. Newer mls one came oot which was fort to be betterer. Hgf can be fixed but it can happen again. In modern cars like the freelander it shouldn't really happen. Most peeps will drive for a life time and not have hgf. To have it happen spooked many owners so they flog em after fixing em. Tis a shame. 1.8 was an old rover k series design which was a more modern version of an older rover design. Powerful little unit. But the later Td4 diesel was so good it were bonkers to buy a petrol.

Eny one else seen the latest Car SOS?
If not, they did a kit car a Noble Ultima. Serious machine!
Reminded me so much of the one I have languishing in the garage since 1995. Though mine isn't a supercar.
At least mine ran to the MOT and back, (Well it didn't I trailered it there.) But I did register it.
Then stripped it down to redo it properly. Avoided the forthcoming SVA.
But the prog really struck lots of chords with me.

Funny thing, it was two of the bloke's nieces who got them involved, he seemed to have a wife as he had fostered so many kids, but she never appeared and was never mentioned. Weird.

My wee cuz bought a Noble m12 when they were new & when it had 500 miles on it we took it to
Knockhill & thrashed it. Quite fast too.:cool:
