Well today has mostly been spent on the road tween 'ere and Lunnen. But we picked up the passports with their visas, correct dates, phew!
And called in to pick up most of our winnings from Ringwood auction.
I spent a lot of the evening going through the box of watches I got. Two are particulalrly nice, the Citizen eco-drive chronograph with its dark brown leather strap. Has sat under a light for a while and now runs fine. And the Seiko 5 automatic, dark blue face, 21 jewels, which runs brilliantly. The metal strap is very particular and one link too small but I've ordered a 2nd hand strap off the bay for a tenner to pinch links from. A Citizen chronograph just needs a new batt as does a nice Sekonda.
32 other extraneous ones that would run with a new batt in, (some already running) including one brand new, in-its-box, with papers, lady's Sekonda, (very pink) all of which I'll not bother with and 11 decent brand name ones, such as Rotary, Emporio Armani, Lorus etc, which I may either stick a batt or two in or put in a separate lot.
amazing what you can get for £50! This happens when a jeweller or a lickle watchmaker retires or dies.
Anyway! Keeps me out of the pub!
I think I might try flogging some ont Bay or somewhere having looked at the prices some of 'em are fetching.
Enyway, sleep well folks!!
Here's a passport for ye...........
