She got half a mill in the settlement, that ought to have bought a decent house. I don't know how much dosh, if any they had left over after the intial purchase but, even with her partne/new husband pitching in I think they might be about feeling the pinch!!
Sure is a ton of dosh to pay for an unheated, not very deep, indoor pool with a listing!!!!

I fink @Brown is right and the river is trying to reestablish itself, right through their living room!!!
You can't put brains in coconuts😃😃😃

Had a phone call tonight from the lovely old couple who run the cottage we'll be staying in. Apparently they have both either broken or hurt a hip each! :(:(:( She said they had had a terrible year, so a bit like ours.
They wanted to send me an alternative route to avoid some dreadful roadworks just before Truro. :)
And the husband we know has contracted cancer but is apparently fighting it successfully. :)
But she told us that there will be eggs, bacon, bread both gluten free and normal, and goat's milk in the fridge.:):)
She had checked with the notes she made two years ago. She also said she was just about to make some gluten free scones for us.
I remonstrated with her as she really doesn't need to do any of this. We are bringing absolutely everything with us.
Anyway, she was pleased for them to be invited over for drinks one evening. :):):)
So, off tomoz to the wild and woolly west!
Have a lovely Christmas folks, if I can't get back on until we get back.

You too mate, enjoy! See you on the other side. :D

Stormtrooper armour in plus sizes anorl.
Good on em though, we has a bunch of enthusiasts down ere that do much the same.
I was amazed one day to see a Klingon, a Romulan, A Vulcan and a Starfleet officer walk through Partick Station in Glasgow some years ago. Not kid on, full make up, weaponry and everything.
It seems there was/is a Star Trek group in Partick called the Klingon Assault Group or similar and they were regulars in the area when going to meetings.
Just a bit odd to see them get off a train and just walk down the street..............

Funny amusing or funny odd? Always thought him a foppish knob tbh.
Surprised he found someone to put up with him at all...
He wasn't funny as in, to be seen Live at the Apollo!!
He just always seemed a bit like a prep schoolboy. A bit immature. But TBH harmless.
We'll just have to see if the press have got him wrong, or right. Whether he is guilty or innocent.
Not bothered either way except that it just seems out of the character that he portrays ont TV.
Have to admit he didn't really seem like the catch of the year for wimmins!

Was the storm over there as bad as sky news portrayed it very mild by us for the time of year . 5c at the moment outside working on the generator to day think the glowplugs are knackered hope that's all fingers crossed
For us, the temperature is not the problem - has been between 8 and 12 degrees every day - but the wind has been very strong and gusty.

Any headlamp heggspurts out there?

Friend of mine needs brighter headlamps, yellow glowy things not doing it for her.

Neon, Xenon, LED ?? what's best without blinding peeps or breaking the law ?

If headlights in good condition install Osram Nightbreaker H4 bulbs [not the longlife versions]. These bulbs are very good and readily available from Amazon, Euro Car Parts, eBay.
