Brit bikes were still being made with tube brazed into cast lugs into the 1970's. Velocette were one of the last, along with Triumph and BSA, until about 1971. Norton went with welding from the early 50's (I have a welded Norton Featherbed frame from 1956 (or is it 1958, must check the v5c).

Thanks. I wasnt sure who to quote that would know got the wrong 1 :vb-groan2:
But thanks for confirming it wasn’t a dream:).

Well, got me tratter insurance sorted for the next year. Change over to the new provider 23rd of the month. New quote from the old insurer jumped from 240 sovs last year to 370 this renewal. Did a check on Gocomp--. Showed the same 370 sovs for the old insurance, and a good range of competitive prices. Halifax - not the cheapest but had all the bits I need - showed as 287 sovs. So got another quote direct from Halifax, now showing 266 sovs. Did a bit more fiddling and dithering with the quote and it flashed up 248 sovs. So bought it.

I love fish. Especially smoked salmon. Mackerel, fresh caught while out sailing, gutted beheaded and cooked within the hour. Prawns, shrimps, love em. Its shell fish - mussels, scallops, winkles and the like - not for me.

I get as much fresh fish & smoked salmon as I want as my mate tis a fisher person cant be seen to discriminate now can we. 🤣

I love prawns or langoustines with a nice sauce. :vb-love:
