Whenever high winds are forecast I have the urge to hire a Luton van and go for a long drive over the most exposed parts of the UK's road network. I'll cross the Pennines on the M62 and the turn right northwards onto the M6 so as to go over Shap and then on to the M74 towards Glasgow where the conditions can be particularly bracing. They always look so much fun skittering about across the lanes; much more sprightly than a heavier HGV.

Once there was high winds and someone took a caravan along the a82 at Rannoch and wondered why it flipped over blocking the whole road. Managed to pass it on the bog (just) to avoid a detour through Dalmally and Oban to get home.

Not bad here today, a little rain at dinner time but otherwise ok.
Decided to wire headlamps up on little truck and ended up with outers on dip and all four on full beam using an old landy switch. Added an essensial item under the bed as well so thought I should add a fuse box 🤔
Headlamps blindingly bright but can hardly tell in picture
