Just had a conversation with the nice lady at the RAC about my renewal quote for roadside n recovery, which is 23% above last years price. It creeps up a bit each year (as one would expect) but every few years they clag a big bit more on. And a conversation usually gets it down again. So (and as I have been a member since 1974) they gave me another 3 months free. Which is the same as a 25% reduction. So I am satisfied .

So two A* and a D
Which I call a win considering they're supposed to be rolling back the grade inflation
I am now having to massively resist asking questions like "In what subjects?" and "Where has she applied to?" and "What course will she be doing?"

Soz just can't help it. Helping A level students get to good places was the best part of my job before I retired.;)

Back from shopping trip, and lunch out, W managed to walk all around nearly everywhere.
So flipping hot I have brought the cool box in and am now sat drinking a pint of Tonic before unloading the rest of the shopping.
Shelves were bare in the Bio-Azur health food shop where W gets her frozen gluten free frozen pastry. Due of course to the bank holiday 2 days ago.
Enjoy the rest of the evening!
:):):)

You were lucky, I got told that is the price (33% rise) so I told them goodbye :vb-bouncy3:

What a wasted day
Waited in for man to come and fit an extractor fan in my kitchen
4pm got a text saying it's been put back till tomorrow (I'm out all day)
Plasterer turned up at 2pm said it's too late to start the job now so he'll be back in 3 weeks time
The joys of living in a council bungalow

Did manage to make some tank hanger brackets and cobble together a one third scale diesel tank though, bit rough but looks the part.
Just waiting for mate to arrive, fitting an ABS sensor to his L200
Then taking GF shopping
be glad to get in bed tonight, hope for a better day tomorrow :)

They sent a plumber to take the radiator off but I'd already done it.
He said he couldn't put it back on when the job was done they would send a heating engineer ffs
Plasterer coming back in three weeks, might strip it down to the brick and surprise him :D

Left my ex in my house and managed to get a nice bungalow for me :)
