The floating caravan has twin v8 5L beasts, the new engine wont run properly & a few peepshave been trying to get it running properly. I checked the timing with ye auld timing light which turned out to be spot on.
Replaced the oily plugs, then lost an eye broo cause it spat a 2 foot flame out the carb
I then robbed the old carb &stuck it on the noo engine, guess wot it...... runs like a wee sweety. I will rebuild the new carb with noo kit ive got a funny
feeling its jetted wrong. I didnt have time to do it today this was the office..........
I didnt feel confident taking it out as nowt works in it, the gears are back to front (forward gear goes reverse) ??? wtf
That was a long day although seen some dolphins an a seal.

... that I was invaded by family and dinnertime got messed about.
Everyone got fed, but I had to do all the cooking (BBQ), wasn't expecting that at all.
It put me in a ratty mood a bit, but no harm done.
I like to be the host when I do the inviting. When people invite themselves and then expect me to run around doing all the work I get the hump.

Ive found recently that everyone says they are coming so we buy enough food to feed a small nation then they dont turn up
& we've spent a load of cash catering for them, fkn boils my blood so ive had enough told the misses its finished im only buying
enough for us & if anyone else comes bring food & I will cook it other wise pizz off.

Can't stand smug barstaff who think they know it all and dictate, patronise etc all the time. So I just have to prick their bubbles and front them up!/Call them out, whatever!

We just ensure everything is freezable. This sort of happened with our Norman friends. We didn't realise quite how much they were going to be eating with friends. W had done menus and stuff for each meal, writ down in a book! So I just had to look the stuff out and get on wiv it. At least 3 different wines etc etc. Table all set, food cooked no one appeared. After half an hour I rung them up, "oh" , sez one, "X (other pair's husband who works with him) told us it was off!" "Well we bliddy didn't! Can't you still come? " "er no we are just sitting down to our dins".
Rang tother couple up, no answer!
So rang two other couples, one of whom had already eaten their dins but they came round and we all made merry!

Gonna go to kip no.
Have to be up for 8 a.m. as expecting a parcel and you practically have to have a trip wire rigged to an alarm to be sure of not missing the delivery peeps here!
