Yeah, you just sketch it out 1:1 scale on model space an hey presto. So Stan, you has an isosceles trapezium yes? The angles the back are the same, as are those at the front(but diffrint)
NO!
Gimme the width at the back, the width at the front and the depth of the alcove an I can do it if you like

Edit. Just re-read your last, you said one end is square dint you, so is a trapezium. Same offer applies
It's more complex than that cos there is bit of trunking intruding into one corner. And that mothu isn't square or parallel on both sides either. The one end, the same end by chance, isn't quite square. No two angles are the same.
Going from bottom left , clockwise, so starting with the front left WT edge it goes 91.5 degs, then 89.6, 92.4, 270.5, 90 lastly 89.3 .
But as you are aware, the big deal is that I cannot drop one end in first then the other, as I did last time we did it. Cos it's tiled first.

However, I have now finalised the two templates, orignally the old worktop cut in half, which I will use to cut out the two ends and will joint together giving an allowance of 10mm so that once used to mark out the new top it can slide it into place hiding the gap under the tiles on the right hand side.
So next move is to cut the worktop out and put up the battens to hold it, bearing in mind that the end ones will need to be extra thick to account for the fact that they won't have worktop right to the wall. The only slightly visible gap would be the very right hand end of the front edge which will be hard to see under the tiles. It'll be quite tough sliding it in as it will be heavy as heck. I will prolly call on a neighbour. I'll fill it and either paint it or use colour coded silicon sealer as I will be doing in all other gaps such as where the window ledge touched the window, where the tiles touch the worktop etc. That worked very well in the kitchen and must be of very superior manufacture cos it has stayed amazingly clean for years. Mapei, same make as the coloured grout.

But thanks for the offer.:):):)

Errm, your welcome.
I fink you enjoy the pain :)

Wallpapers a coverup job, pull it all off and paint it:eek::D.
I hung wallpaper once, then (ex now) FIL wanted me to do his stairwell which of course I was badged into doingo_O, never again:).

I quite like wallpapering and in France we have a feature wall in the lounge diner and one in the master bedroom. The very last strip in the lounge diner, started at the top about 3/4 inch wide and tapered to just a few mm. Brand new house too!

Guess I am making a habit of this sort of thing!
But yep, chickened out of the stairwell, 5 metre drops and spiral stairs.:eek::eek:

Yep been on I think 4 years now, and been paying for 2% of consumption, looking at a few more panels to get better capture in the winter months earlier in the day to try and get rid of that 2%:).

Apparently there was a notice that the electricity would be off the other day, Ok all our lights stayed on, and some think we are the crazy brits:confused:.

So all three of us have some solar then?
good thing eh?;););)

And I forgot to mention that in the back left hand corner there is a gas pipe which is about 1" or more out from the wall so I'll need to cut a corner off after having drilled it 15mm. The overall length of the whole thing is 2828 mm.
And yes I am aware that all the internal angles should add up to 360 and they don't! It didn't help that the walls aren't straight either!

Now got some mechanix to do, lot more up my street. An anti-snake device for towing the trailer. Never seemed to need one with the box trailer but had a dodgy feeling with the one with W's car on it.
It was OK being towed down through France but once she'd loaded it with carp for the road back, even though I pulled it a bit further forward, the nose weight seemed a little light.
I've told her not to fill the tank! Don't want to have to pull it right up to the front that would just be bonkers. The engine is already up the front FFS!

Wow!
So you've been there 18 years?
We had our house built with solar heated hot water back in 2008 which works like a dream. Plus a log burner. Hob burns gas from bottles. But then we are only there 6 months.
Good on your for living off grid. ;)
