the bit that i fail to understand, is nozzle size. if you put diesel in a petrol tank, the car will splutter to a stop until you replace the fuel. petrol in a diesel car and you can destroy a modern engine if you run it till it stops, with a bill of £1000s to get it fixed

Petrol is a solvent so it cleans the lubrication. Hence why petrol in a diesel is nore damaging.

Ma hippo was origionally petrol untill eye stripped him down and did a complete rebuild assa diesel. Bin filling him wiv diesel ferra few years. One day eye met another freelanderer eye knows wivva v6 petrol hippo. Got me finking ov my v6 engine. Then put arf a tank ov petrol in me diesel. Balls. Gottid one ov thems flap yella fings but eye still managed it.

Never heard of these things, wot are they and have all doozies got one?
If yer put the wrong nossul in yer fool filler, a flap will be triggered. Its a metal fing that springs oot inside yer fool pipe to stop the pipe going fully in. It dunt block the pipe to stop fool going it. But yer shud notice. Lr provide a plastic yella tool fing to poke down yer fool filler pipe to reset said spring flap fing, so it hides to one side, to allow the propper filler pipe in. Dunt know if uvva manufacturers do this in the same way.

Did a bit of research on this, all the posh Landy types seem to have one including the new defenderer. But not the proper defenders, seems their owners are not daft enough to poke the wrong nozzle in :D
