Afternoon folks:).

So cut the front grass this morning before it got to ott, Put the shark in the pool.
Then onto fixing loos:eek:.
So due to my failed attempt at getting a new unit other day I had the brain fart of just taking the 1 out of the annex:), its hardly ever used and still got the outside loo in the same area so no probs for a while. oh what fun:eek:, for some reason I never fitted an isolation valve to that particular loo, why, I dont know, but I think its cos I never had the correct flexi to go from a valve to the fill so I just hard piped it and said need to sort that later. Life obviously got in the way 5yrs later its back on the list:rolleyes:. So the outside has no water at the moment as I cant be bothered to look for bits I know I have now. But the good news is 2 working Loos for the guest rooms now:) with no leaks (when I left them) will check them again tomorrow.

So decided to down tools and crack open a Saturday beer while the shark finishes his cycle then get him out clean and test the water with my body:p:D.
Have a good weekend all doing what you want I hope:).

So did you just cap the pipe and take the loo out?
I too haven't put isolators anywhere here in F land. when I was working on the bog upstairs I just capped the pipe and left the loo as it was, with an old paint bucket next to it so we could fill it at the tap in the bathroom which luckily has a tap high enough off the base of the (flat) basin to make it possible. Not ideal but worked, until I got around to putting the watter back on.;)
Tother day I went to CCL and tried to explain what a I wanted i.e. isolators, but they didn't seem to have a clue. Everything they offered was just too industrial.
I've got loads in the UK which will fit as it is all BSP anyway, I'll just bring them over one day/next time.
It rained all night so the pool will be higher and colder again, feck it!!:(

Can I be nosey and ask why its back on the table?
When I did my couple of unretyred times I had a time limit so that was fine.

But if you are seeing its not good for you no matter how much you like doing it, see if you can drop another day. They will probably consider it, if they like the work you do. Or perhaps go into teaching your skill:) Night school? 1 evening a week, I don't know what's about where you are.
I was pretty much offered a couple of jobs from "well control " schools teaching. We discussed it but it meant moving to Aberdeen or Spain, so that got squashed pretty quick:).

Don't let it get to you, you need to do what's right for you and Mrs Old Landy:).

+1, in spades, and teaching? God no!:eek::eek:

Mine came in nearer £7k, but then I had some implants ...
Jesus, all this money!!
I thort £5k for private cataracts was steep.
It seems some of us are blessed more or less with "lucky teeth" and some ain't . My ex paid thousands for hers and yet to look at them you'da said hers were better than mine. One problem nearly gave har cancer of the face.:eek::eek:

When I say "hard piped" its that white plastic PEX so flexible enough not to disturb too much. I have an isolation valve in the house for outside so no issue. I have put isolations everywhere else, probably more than most but missed/forgot that 1:oops:.

Still trying to get the pool to evap away, its getting there and warm enough 28:D.
Which is the advantage of the Shark it cleans but dont have to vac and then pump away water. But yes a bit of a pain when too much water:).

I was not talking about teaching snotty nosed, spotty teenagers that think they know it all:eek:.
More like those that "want" to learn, Shirley that make a huge diff to the pupils attitude:).

J
Oh it does.
But if the peeps sent to him are on day release or summat it'll be not much different to the snotty nosed etcs!
But adults who think they know it all or want to play "Catch the teacher out" are ffing awful too. As I found out when training English and Modern Language faculty's staff in how to do simple word processing, excel etc. Some were lovely but some were mind-blowingly annoying, like the one who said to me "just leave me to it" then started simply banging the keys as if it was a drum kit. :(
