No rain, instead we have some sun! Don't get the impression it is sunny 'cos we have a lot of cloud about and that seems to be in control but if it turns out as good as it was yesterday, minus the strong 'breeze, then it will be good for me.
Last working day of the week for most of you but spare a thought for all those who have to work through the holiday period.:)

Late on parade today because a replacement painter was at my door at 8AM and got me out of bed. :)
Took me 5 mins to pull some clothes on, a rude awakening indeed. :(
But, he's a lovely chap and will do a good job for me I am sure (no alarm bells ringing in the back of my mind).
Weather looks OK here, and I have a free day to try and sort some issues out on the trike. Holland in 20 days time.
Have a great day. :D

Someone had a bad day, but not as bad as it could have been ...

Afternoon folks:).

Another great day here, just did some little bits.
2 wood burners now stored in the garage. Measured up for some concrete for floors our friend, Girls gone out for tomorrows work requirements and to order concrete trucks. So Friday will be ankle deep in concrete;).
Lid off the pool and scooped out about 30 baby kermits how and why they were in there i have no idea, but they obviously didnt like the level of salt and chlorine:(, anyway at 28 on the temp it would have been rude not to skinny dip:D.

There are only 2 roads off of Canvey Island.
There is a huge oil storage facility on the island (like Buncefield).
Today the major route off the Island (A130) got blocked because a petrol tanker coming off the island caught fire.
Blockage of the main route happens often and nothing gets done to improve things (well, not in the 40 years I've been here).
A13 heading east Closed, A130 South onto Canvey CLOSED, A130 North off of Canvey CLOSED.
Local council & MP are surprised that local residents are concerned about what might happen in a real emergency.
It beggars belief. Yes, accidents happen, but having no "options" is a disaster waiting to happen.
