Well I has been plumberin tday!
The soft water in our place has taken no more than 13 years to dissolve the heads of the bolts that hold the cisterns of two loos to their pans.
I did the easiest one first.
Replaced with stainless steel ones wot I bought last year but never got around to fitting.
Went to a trade place last Thursdi, that sells plumbing/electrical etc stuff. all I wanted was three isolation valves. 1/2 " BSP.
Bloke looked at me like I was a Martian, and he has seen me quite a bit over the years.
So I'll have to go down the mountain again with two bits to say "I want a small in line valve to go from this to this."
They don't have ones you do wiv a screwdriver.
Stoopid fecker should have brought em from Engerland!
So I had to do it all by capping and turning the watter off and on
Still I have to do it to fit the isolation valves once I get em, if I can be feckin bovvad.
Still one down, one to go!
Have a nice evening folks!
