Evening all been oot for a few hours messing about with the landy wiring, the alternator
was wired up wrong was a small brown wire onto the rev counter feed
Cant figure out why the glow plugs are constant live when the key is out ignition.
Pulled the wire off from the ignition switch for now why do people just chop & join wires
when they dont have a clue what they are doing. No battery light on the dash got power
to the circuit but doesnt light the bulb up. Im nearly at the stage of ripping dash out to get a
better look at the loom. Tis a mess tbh.
Wot about getting a second hand loom from a breakers and just starting with that? They ain't expensive and you would have a safe place to start from.
This is what I do with a kit car as I posted elsewhere recently. Two good looms give you loads of wire of the correct gauge and colours with extra fuse boxes and relays. Easiest way of rewiring I can think of and a feck's sight cheaper than Autosparks.
You could take the whole loom out, taking pics of all connections before you disconnect them, then put in the known good loom, keeping what you have ripped out to use for mending and extensions. ;)

What numbers do you see...........
AAU1wIy.img
1528
so what?

Ive not checked its charging yet as I would have smoked myself out in the garage/tent tis a 200tdi
in this one, starts fine got all lights working, no wipers, squitters, horn, heater squeels like its getting
murdered  probably fuel & temp wont work either. (going by the rest of it)
dash lights = lights & full beam indicator nowt for the clocks.
cig lighter & mid dash wires all hangin oot with 3 holes in the dash.
Paints a wonderful picture doesnt it. o_O
See my later/earlier post.:)

Seems to have calmed down now but we're told it is just a lull before the wind picks up again. It isn't raining at the moment but sleet and heavy rain is on its way. I am pleased to say that all my oak trees seem to have survived undamaged. :)
Hard to believe but it is Saturday already! 'Ave a gud 'un. :)

Agree wiv that. But sheer volumn of traffic at peak times makes a lot of our roads flow at the same speed across all lanes. That's when most crashes happen. Cant fink of a fix other than slowing down to make it safer. Can't see peeps driving betterer. Fone rules got harsher over ere wiv penalty points but eye still see many drivers still using them.
We've been taught for many years now that reducing limits is the only way to make roads safer

It's a band aid over a cut that needs stitches

Funnily enough I was looking at looms yesterday, ive have a few looms stripped over the years, I find
that you need time & space with no-one bothering you as soon as you get distracted thats it fkd & you
loose your place, then the misses wants somit done

I wants a noo patio door so got in touch with a couple of suppliers. One of them offered a video call with an on screen simulation of what they could offer (one of the biggest n bestest of the double glazing peeps). That'll be good thinks I, just get the technicals sorted and a price, none of the salesman's pitch with how they are the best in the world at everything, easy terms, greenest products, and it'll change my life forever. Not so, I had to sit n be bored by the same old crap for half an hour. Then got the price at the end of it all. Which was halved about a minute later after a bit of haggling. I'll let them know next week ;)
