The weather here in Wimblowdriverland has turned cold and foggy. Went into my garage this morning (dottir brought her jam jar round for a tyre pump-up). Condensation is forming on the underside of the roof (asbestos sheets) and starting to drip on things. Replacement roof has been on the job list since we moved in six years ago. Got some brickwork repairs to do on it as well. Its gonna be next years major project. As soon as the weather improves.
So £1-40 a year. Not bad value.

It took a lot of uncomfortable minutes lying on the floor with my arms at full-stretch and a lot of Anglo-Saxon invective to undo the pump-nuts.
As anticipated the gate/isolating valves either side of the pump were about as useful as tea-strainers in stopping water flow.
A full system drain-down ensued. Pump out, new one in (cannot even hear the new one running)
But! the boiler popped its overheat cut-out on first firing up. I have switched the immersion on to overcome the "boiler priority" and also told the CH controls to make no H/W only CH.
Checked for leaks and none-so-far.
Waiting for the heating to actually get to all the radiators. ATM only a few are getting warm (TRV's on the rest and its a mild day).
I think we are OK though.
I have to do mine due to my meningioma, so since I was 59. and the worse thing is it comes up now, again due to Covid, in the middle of the summer when we are abroad. AND it depends on my neurobod pulling his finger out.I wish I did! I'm now on my fourth renewal

All done, just need to track it up, finding someone to do it properly will be a problem, it needs to be 2mm toe out because it's a non power steering model and the wheel alignment people won't do it to specific requirements.

Shirley it should be set at specs in their big book of specs? if that's manufactures specs, I would give them a word and go somewhere else
