Morning All :D
We have a digital retinopathy screening to ferry someone too this morning. :)
Still fed up about the car but hopeful we can find the leak now it is sans carpet. :(
Town is still gridlocked because of UKPowerNetworks and their inability to run their projects.
Have a great Friday. :D
"Leak" musta missed that and I do genrally read all posts.:(
Roadworks are such a pain aren't they? constantly having to actooly think about which way you are going to go and leave more time.:mad::mad::mad::mad:

I can report it is not silent, there is a fan in it. It is quiet but not silent.
@Stanleysteamer my system will be a closed loop. I don't want it to be viewed over tinterweb as I have a deep mistrust to those who provide that service. It is mainly so if we have a dispute over deliveries etc I have evidence they didn't show or things like that. It has an internal 2tb hdd and I can lift images from it via the RJ45 cable plugged into a laptop or via a usb cable.
Did I post on this? I know I did later on, must be posting in my sleep!:(:(

Damp but NOT raining which is just as well as the tree company men are coming this morning to do my big 'edges.
Although it is Friday I do not think that is going to help me feel any better after a bit dose of side effects from the recent Moderna vac. I had no reactions to the previous two Pfizer ones and will be refusing any further vacs if they are not the Pfizer one. I just cannot be in the position of being unwell.
To all you workers, stay safe and prepare yourselves for a good weekend.:)
Well watch it on the AZ one then, you don't want what I got, though I spect it'll be alright if you keep moving around.:eek::eek:

I found the little G-Tech K9 to be very good at getting the cat hair up off the carpets (when we had carpets). ;)
What it struggled with was my very long (18" pony-tail at the time) hairs wrapping round the beater-bar bearings.
Thanks for this.
We have three Cockers and the hair, sadly white, off one of them is very fine AND must have invisible barbs or summat as all our hoovers do is line the hairs up, it just don't suck them up!.
What is a massive shame is that you can't take em home and test drive em!
I was saying to Wifey that we should take a handful of her hair with us. Grind it into the carpet in the showroom, then ask them to demo the machines! Don't think they'd like that though!

Sorry replied to the wrong post. Don't know exactly how Wifey can watch it and control it from her phone but I spect you're right. And i'm surprised she does it cos she too is very security conscious and don't trust tinterweb neeva!

The first day we moved in I fitted a steel barrier so the 90 was secure on the drive. That is my mind set. The neighbours all think I am bonkers (along with @doriz ) but it is difficult to lose those instincts. I hope to be able to relax the 'bolt it down' mentality but it will take time :D
Bizarrely we did the opposite and got burgled twice, three times if you count the shed, in France. It is on the edge of a small village and we were told "this isn't a high crime area."
Each time we got burgled we were not the only ones. And they know so well when to go in. One bloke only went out for the evening for dinner with his mum.
Before we moved in we did put quite a bit of security in, lockable handles on the windows (yes weirdly the builders weren't allowed to put them on as that would take them out of "spec" or the "normes" as they will have it.) And special bars on all the shutters. In fact we bought so much stuff we got "prix d'artisan" at the hardware place which is rare as rockin horse do-dos in Frogland!
But they found a way in, so we blocked that way in, then they found another way in so we blocked that too, then we fenced off and put gates up with a chain and a padlock, but also we fitted an alarm, internal, controlled over the phone and a box on the outside with wires running to it and everything, that does nothing!
So we are sure, as is everyone, that either the burglar lives in the village or he has an "indicateur" who does.
But here in the UK, no alarm, simple deadlocks etc on doors and windows, only with the garage have I taken special measures, bolting the door frame to the wall, and removing the link between the garage door handles and the doors so they can only be opened from the inside. Well, easily. We let ourselves be guided by the insurance co as we obvs have to have special insurance, being absent for so long so often. We also either hide valuables or take them with us. So the burglars now know it ain't worth it! All our neighbours have very visible alarms, but the outside of our place looks tatty, with cars under tarps etc, (my fault) so maybe they think it just ain't worth it!!!

Just how does he do it? My older dog, who does like to 'welcome' all visitors, never gets out of bed before 9am BUT today he asked to go out at 8am. This was just after I had 'phoned me neighbour, who I never see, to tell him that the tree men were coming to trim my hedging that sides his garden. Does Zebo understand what is said?????????????? :D He waited for them to come and then ran in to let me know we had visitors. :):):)
Sometimes they do just seem to be telepathic. they always know when we are going to go out, even if we are just sitting down over brekfus. Think it is the tone of voice somehow!

Well it is quiet here today, now.
Wifey has gone off for the weekend with her friends who used to be Guiders.
She rang her daughter today and sfter talking to her for a while realised she'd rung her old landline number as was in fact talking to ex son in law's wife?! Hee Hee! Modern tech eh, the phone did just have her name up!
So we had a laugh as we do all get on. Transpires her husband is away for the weekend too.
I joked with Wifey that me n her should get together for a bit of a naughty weekend, or at least joke with ex s.i.l when he gets back!!
Weather has been cancelled I think, not rainy, not sunny, not hot nor warm nor cold nor windy. Must be "high pressure gloom".
Will have to think whether I will get on with work, unhindered or just take it easy!:):):):):)
