Afternoon folks:).

Well rain has stopped play, The Big Man is also in a bad mood as he must have lost something, cos hes banging pots and pans and flashing his flashlight around, so fink I best stay undercover:D:D.

Was checking the Pool pump room today, clearing it for winter and it looks like the sump pump has given up, just what I need as going to be away on Monday. Will give it a quick check for blockages tomorrow, Have an old 1 exactly the same which gave up so maybe able to cobble together a good 1 from 2.
If not then the other 1 we have will have to go in but it will not fit direct to current plumbing but I could "heath Robinson" something together:p.

Got all me paperwork printed and filed in a plastic folder for the trip, Whoever said the future world would be paperless was fecking lying:rolleyes:.

Going to pack tomorrow and see If I can remember where I stashed my GBP slush funds:p:D.

Seeing adverts on my phone is against my religion. Forcing me to see them is a hate crime, I find them offensive and they cause me to feel alarmed and distressed

Soooo first what religion, 2 what BS are they feeding you we are here to help/listen/advise/LAUGH at your problems:p.

Please dont tell me diet ads................................................

I hate them as I am a 32 waist:D, I really dont need to buy a new wardrobe;)

Anti ads religion.. I religiously get rid of them the best I can :D
I do my best not to notice what they are even advertising
I'm a 30" waist so I don't need diets either

When my dottirs were sprogs one joined the air cadets and the other joined the army cadets, I bought them each a swiss army knife. I ended up getting one of them back years later, still use it now and again. But my preferred pocket knife is a stainless steel brit army knife which belonged to my father in law. It has one wobbly can/bottle opener, one wobbly blade which still holds a keen edge when honed on me oilstone, and a fixed screw driver on one end. Its stamped with a WD mark and date stamped 1953.
CR@P!!!!!
Thought I was the only one in the world with one!
Had it since I were a lad. My chemistry teacher used to borrow it to cut fings up, like Lithium and Sodium!
None of it is wobbly and I keep it in my tool roll. I find it brilliant for gapping plugs as the blade widens toward the blunt side, so I just push it gently into the gap.
And if it is too big, I hold the blade and tap the outer electrode with the other end of the knife like a lickle hammer.
The screwdriver blade is tough and unobstructive and the tin/can/bottle opener will open ANYTHING and I have used it for that numerous times when nothing else will do. Fantastic tool, prolly cost me 50p back in the day, from and army surplus place in Bath.
Would have to get mine out to check but I think mine too is date stamped in the 50s!
And you can attach a lanyard to it if you want to, which I can't with my SAK.:):):):):):):)

I really know what you are talking about re the paperwork too. The officials will be very happy with you, as you won't be fecking around with a dead phone etc. Or running back and forth trying to find bits.
The very best of luck with the trip mate. Hope all goes as well as it can!!;):):):)
