Cloudy but dry but we have been promised a few sunny periods so I'll have to wait and see what 'appens.

Garden clearing on hold 'cos the wheelbarrow has developed a limp - looks like another trip to the tyre menderer. :( Why do things always go wrong when you most need them.

Wee dog should have been going to the groomer today but that has been postponed until Friday, that suits me better though.

Enjoy your day whatever you're doing.:)

Morning all, tis really foggy here, damp start meant to clear up later.

We now have the ice maker working on the noo fridge fkn stupid...press button for the ice light
come on this tells you its switched off, why do they have to try an reinvent the wheel o_O
Light on = on, light off = off errr  & lets just throw in some instructions that dont relate to this
unit. Tw@tts rant over.

Tis like them stupid upside down Christmas trees

Well almost over lol

Have a nice day ya'll :):)

Got the exhaust job done. Two hours on the ramps, cutting through the mid section pipe with a mini hacksaw - very awkward access, awkward working position lying on me back, and five minutes to put the new silencer on. Job jobbed.
It's jobs like this that are pushing me to buy a reciprocating saw. I have an underused compressor already.
I would ask, "Why didn't you just take the whole exhaust off, cut it through then put it back on?" But I am sure you have your reasons!

Afternoon folks:).

Another day working away in the sun, but it was nice, as we all know the weffa is turning ,our walnuts trees are showing yellow leaves and starting to drop them :(. Need to look at checking out the CH next month to make sure it still working may need to sweep the chimney:).
The cooling off pool is still working its holding 27 at the moment. but its a couple of weeks away from the big cover and then endth summer:(.

Then its onto the inside job list;). Need to concentrate on the east wing this winter:eek::D. M wants a bath:).

I was gonna say fixing or changing a tyre/inner tube on a barrer ain't difficult........
Then I remembered your aversion to things that need tools!!!

Well I've been off air for two days as we've been v busy and we have also had thunderstorms so had to disconnect the box.
Went to Chiro again. She sez I'm getting better but it'll be slow, so I will have to keep her confederates in the UK in funds for a while longer.
Did the big shop yessdi.
Wifey has to buy special bras as she is one of those shapes English bra places just don't seem to cater for. (Big berthas and small back) so she bought 3 for ....... (deep breath)......€260.:eek::eek: FFS! I could get a three piece suit for that, as if I would!
Lovely lunch in one of our favourite places, last time this season, :( Went off and she bought two bots of perfume, and then we got a chocolate owl to give to neebs who look after our place, well one pair, as they both look after it. The others have already had their prezzy.
Very hot and sticky all day, as was the previous day.
Got back to find an email from I-CAD saying they had got our email open and had closed the dossiers. So straight on to the vets and they will now give us the pet passports tomoz. Talk about last minute!! So great result, FINALLY. (I think someone must have felt sorry for us, especially if our vet gave them a bit of a push. So nice to know that "fonctionnaires" in France can be human!:):):):)
It is supposed to be raining all day today and tomorrow, according to this mornings forecast, but the sun is shining now! And the clouds are drifting away!
So I dashed out early and topped up the gearbox with ATF. It had hardly lost any this last 500 miles.
So today the laborious task of writing a complete list, bottle by bottle or case by case, of all the wine we'll be taking over, for the customs peeps to use when calculating the duty owed.:mad::mad::mad:.
Bearing in mind that each grower gives us a discount, which varies from 6% to10%, and they can only charge VAT on the price plus the French VAT, (Yes, puke making isn't it? paying vat twice.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:) But we wouldn't be doing it if it wasn't going still to be better than buying wine in the UK of dubious quality at outrageous prices.
Crossing our fingers that the beggars won't be there when we got to Pompey. they usually aren't. but after Brexit, who knows?
Anyway, have a lovely day peeps.:):):):):):):):):)

That would need me to raise the front of the car, and my 1970's ramps foul on the front valance of modern cars. I can raise the fronts on moderns by just enough to deal with oil changes by using my special purpose ramps (blocks on planks of wood :D), but not enough for an eggs zorst job. Also it would have took much longer to do the intended job. Any road up, the time taken included two long tea breaks -----
