Battery died in the Daimler earlier, parked up to post a letter and just wouldn't start only 3mi from home so might as well walk home get a jump pack etc etc..
So I lock her and go on my merry way....

Get home and get my jump pack out of my shed, all is well I thought so back to the car and I rummage through my pockets to get my keys however there is an issue.......................

Guess who left his keys on the bench in the workshop?

sooooooooo back I go people in the houses I'm walking past are giving me a funny look, 3rd time is the charm right!

Keys are now where they should be in the ignition however she gives a half hearted rumble from the starter motor, and it does sound like she isn't going to go however after the 3rd go she roared into life :D

Can't say what I would of done if she hadn't!

I should note there was a small crowd gathering as the 17ft barge was giving me grief! :D

9mi of walking, bloody knackered!!!!

Sorry mate thats a pizzer:(:(, I did feel sorry for you...for a minute haha very sorry but its that funny :D:D

Haha still laughing my bad  :D

....that I am returned early. :(
The trip was a bit of an embarrassment for me TBH. :(
First day was a rained-off washout, yesterday was great and we set off to cycle int oSt. Ives and from there along the cycle path alongside the guided bus-route towards Cambridge.
Awful! :( I was struggling to get any appreciable speed up and where I have normally been able to bimble along in the sunshine at a happy 10MPH I was struggling to make 7 on the flat.
When a gentle hill was encountered the speed dropped to stupid figures and my right knee began to complain.
At the end of the day and after 35 miles cycled the right knee was clicking on every turn of the cranks and the "click" was detectable by placing my hand on that knee.
So we decided to cancel today's "fun" and go home a day early.
Hello folks, It is nice to be back with you again. :)

That is disappointing for you but it is better to admit defeat gracefully than struggle on and end up in an even worse state. There's always another day.:)
