Anyone gorra tip to stop yer beetroot plants bolting other than buy a jar?
From my gardinging book, beetroot section;
"Plants sometimes run to seed before the roots have developed. Dry soil or a shortage of organic matter is the usual cause, but it will occur if you sow too early or if you wait too long before thinning the seedlings. Grow a resistant variety such as Boltardy or Monopoly if bolting has been a problem in the past".

I’ve forked in some manure so hopefully I’ll get a bumper crop

We had thunder last night and it rained quite a bit.
Very humid this a.m. still as anything so suspect high pressure gloom.
Mozilla Thunderbird still playing up so uninstalled it then downloaded it again off tinternet.:rolleyes:
Still only showing emails up to the 13th of June.:mad::mad::mad::mad:
Little blue wheel by the word "inbox" just spins and spins. AND it didn't ask me to sign in.:confused::confused:
God I hate pooters.
We need to get an email and print off the Covid tests to be able to travel tomorrow! and the other pooter is packed, now I'll have to get it all out again.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

......Been up to the MIL's for a recce on the plumbing work. :(
Yes the toilet is leaking all over the floor (I wonder why the room smells so acrid?:rolleyes:
I found the isolating valves for the shower feed (good news :) ) Don't know if they work though. :oops:
I think I will be able to knock tiles off to expose the tail connections inside the shower cubicle (crosses fingers).
I guess the worst-case is that I pull the old pipes out and put new ones in. :)
Feeling a bit better about it than I did. :D

Afternoon folks:).

So thats another retyred days work done, Humm what to do now;):D.

Cleared all the tools away from the last weeks working and now a clean base to start again:).

Remember that rattle in the strimmer? Well as I am out number in the sexes at the moment and Ms friends place needs a good strimmering I had a look at it:).

The little allen head screw on top was found rattling around in the cooling fan/flywheel at the front, some damage evident. It came out of a fuel tank fixing underneath and must have fallen/sucked in the gap for the cooling inlet, anyway all tested and running fine:D. That means I have just got a job for thursday:eek:.

They are off into big boy town tomorrow so I will be left to my own devices:oops: what could go wrong:rolleyes:.

Hope are seeing the same sun that we are:).

Just a little pick you up. Friend of ours packed his car with his new cool box all plugged in and full of the other usual stuff.
Came out later to leave (2am) to find his aux cig socket was permanent live and had run down his battery. Guess where the battery was;):eek: yep the boot Volvo estate.
All you have to do is pull a laptop out:).

Good luck and safe drive:)
