...my word that Gym session had me puffing like an old steam train.
The diagnosis that I am "A klutz with no co-ordination skills or balance" is not unexpected though. ;)
It is a little tiring to see people smirking because you lack the levels of grace & poise that they are demonstrating to you so ably.
But we rise above all that, they can't build houses or do their own plumbing etc. etc. so we all have our place in life.
My flexibility is improving though :)
I'll have to come up with the wording for a T-shirt you could wear to stop the smirking.
Not easy.
So far I've come up with: "Wot you looking at? FUCK OFF!"
Not very clever, but as Billy Connolly says, those two words kinda take their own atmosphere with them.
Will have to work on it!

I do have a Gym T-Shirt (that I had made) saying "This derelict & decrepit body is undergoing repair at....[gym name]"

...it has been raining here. Went out with Wifey to do some bits. Stupid shop said it was open on its website, no it feckin wasn't! Main reason for going out.
Spent a while looking for a car park with a yellow van in it, we were told to open the read door and....
(sounds like dogging don't it?! ) "throw our contributions in."
(Dog's Trust, we were donating unwanted towels.)
So a bit of dogginess involved!!:D:D:D
So went home and had a cream tea. Yummy!:):):):)
Then went online to feck about, wifey managed to register for the NHS app, Grrr! I couldn't do it cos my phone isn't an iFeck.
Paid house insurance. Joked with the bloke about how long of the 20 minute conv was actually he and I talking about the business rather than me listening to screeds of recorded security stuff or "choices" of which number to press, OR him having to read out screeds of stuff from the paper I had in my hand.:mad:
New, secondhand lens arrived for the new camera body. In fab nick.
If anyone is looking for decent secondhand photographic gear you could do a lot worse than use these peeps. mpb.com. It arrived beautifully packaged in their own special box etc, and it was fast, and it looks brand new.
Result!!! (And yes of course under test it works fine!):):):):):)
Wifey has found out how to pay Duty etc on booze etc online before we come back as apparently it is a bit cheaper and also you don't have to go through the red channel and waste time there.
But the amount of duty payable is eye watering. £2.23 per bot.
Some of the cheapest wines you can buy in a supermarket in the UK must be real cr@p knowing that! "Gallo Family Vineyards Summer Rose cost £4.24 at Asda , " so £2.21 without the duty. Take out Asda's overheads and the VAT, and what you have is sheer paint-stripper.:eek::eek::eek:
So glad we moved thousands of pounds worth over before all this happened.
So we'll only be bringing the expensive stuff over from now on. :(:(:(:(
Duty free allowance @24 bots per bod = 48, 48 nights and we'll be into the stuff at the higher price. Grrrrr!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
£300 a year more just to drink wine with our dinner! And that is assuming we can get over there for 180 days a year!
Double Grrrrrrr!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

(The £2.68 includes VAT which we can avoid in France by buying it for export.)
And guess who was in charge over the last 10 years when it rose by 72%?

Sorry about the rant. This is obviously not of much interest to many, and there are worse problems in the world. It just sticks in our throats that one thing we planned for our retirement has recently gone out the window!:(

First world problems eh? ;) Quality wine with dinner Vs. No dinner. :)

Our last sale we had sum bint (local property mogul) offer the asking price then sent in her own tame surveyor. Course they found lots of stuff that 'needed sorting' so she dropped her offer by 10k. Told her to feck oft, sold at full price the next day.
Hold your nerve @My Old Landy, market's hot and you're in the driving seat (which will be more comfortable than your Landy's I reckon) :D
