And we left the turf !

Looking at the players celebrations at full time Scotland took this 0-0 as a victory, but England took it as a defeat ?
Anyway 0-0 was a fair result me thinks.

So just back from an hour in the gym, I'm 67.5 kg of rippling muscle !
Lunch and then take my daughter to her under 15 football game Renfrew Vs Houston
Then Costa coffee n muffin then dinner then walk by the river then bed
Hows that for a plan ?

And a fair few stayed in the Square to help pick up all the detritus left from earlier, so well don yer lads ...

I think the queen really owns it and allows me to sell it. Not really sure but she seems ok with the sale :)
My philosophy on land and property is, yer can't own it. You buy the right to look after it until you pass it on to the next person who will look after it. The land will always be there, long after you is gorn. And if you is a responsible sort, you will pass it on in a better state than you got it.

After my afternoon of supporting the peeps doing the long walk we only had one casualty and that was self inflicted.
The poor gal had been drinking energy drinks all the way through the event and her kidneys were complaining!
Some water later and she was feeling much betterer. :)

Ive no idea what the cost will be :(:( They dont need to show any evidence as its a place of historical
interest, I hope they find the 10mm snap on spanner I lost years ago lol
Don't they have to prove its a place of historical interest? Sorry if I am being my normal thicko self.
But our place, in fact the whole estate, is built on the waste pile from an old pottery, which is why you need dynamite or a JCB to dig a hole. So there could faintly be historic interest, in shards of pottery from last century. But then any midden is full of interest to the right kind of history buff. So how many centuries old is your place? To justify their bothering their asses to dig up your land?

Really, feel for you mate, last thing you need.:mad::mad::mad: :(:(:(:(

The chap said to me, even though we have double glazing and a new boiler/radiators, we could not get better that 75 - grade C. This is because they have set the costs to age of house and not reality. My bills are far lower than the report suggests. Therefore it is misrepresentation, ergo, a way of making you pay for something that is in reality worthless. What is your definition of a scam?
Yes but, no but...
My 1928 3 bed detached, despite having loft insulation, (not incredibly thick but it was there), double glazing and allegedly cavity wall insulation, was much more expensive to heat than Wifey's 4 bed 1980s built wooden framed Swedish designed place. The wall insulation is just sooooooo much better. I don't honestly think there was much difference in the heating systems both were gas with similar rads etc.
But I appreciate there are differences between all houses of all eras!:):):)

....we have spent the last two days going through our piles of minidiscs from the days when we used to use a camcorder, and also looking at files on old SD cards, or all shapes and sizes. Even found an old CF card 1GB which will get us going on the great camera swapover to come. We also discovered all sorts of stuff saved in obscure places on my old pooter. so it has been two days of "all our yesterdays" and quite fun. Like binge watching a box set of our past lives over the last 12 years or so.
My God there was a lot more snow in the Dales back then. and even down here!
Funny to see the land in France bare and with no bloody wind farm on the horizon!
All the puppies and old dogs running around, grandchildren as toddlers, (all grown up now wiv degrees and jobs). Such a laugh and so sweet. (Thinking about it, it must be a lot more than 12 years, has digital really been around that long?!)
We are deffo going to use the camcorder more!
Still missing one minidisc without its cover which makes no sense and we know some of what is on it! Bit annoying but still.
Nite folks!:):):):):)
