Read the book over and over again as a kid.
They even found a pinnace CKD and put it all together. (only in the book, they made a dugout outrigger canoe in the film.)
You'd a loved it!
And in the film the ship's wheel was used to wind up a rope which pulled up the wooden staircase which was the only easy access to the tree house.

We cooked a leg of sheep ont sunday. Left overs ter nite. Poo cam has spottid a fox ont 3 different nites. Not doing much. Just lookin around. And a cat. Be interesting to see what yer dun't see happen. Fings wandering int yer garden at 8pm, mid nite or 3am. There be a whole new world oat there int darkness that yer dun't normally see.
Eye has washed the burd poop oft ma hippo assit were startin ter annoy. There be more burds singin in and around me garden. Nature be growin again ferra nuvva season. Eye stood un listened ferrabit. Tis quite surprising how much noise they make collectively. Several conversations going ont at the same time.

Dark & dry this morning. Round the M25 again this morning then heading west.
Roads are getting busier with caravans as people are now waking up from the winter sleep

The machinery thing is ok after 24 hours so good to play in the workshop!
