Evening All :D
Just finished todays fun and games on my build. :)
I am pleased to say that ALL the cladding is on, complete, finished as a task.
All the follow-on work is now inside the building.
So tomorrow is plasterboard & insulation day. :)

Looking good!:):):)
Are you leaving the timber as it is, or are you treating it any further? I'm assuming it is pressure treated. In which case the answer will be "No" and you'll just wait till it changes to a nice light grey.;):)

Thanks for the good reviews. It is pressure-treated timber but the plan is to paint it with Black Barn Paint on the outside. So far it has taken me and Tom 9 days to get this far. I reckon 2 or 3 more days and it will be done to a level where I can finish it on my own and Tom can go do work on my son's place.

This is above my pay grade really as, although we have a lot of fences all using PT timber, we never paint it.
But I thought there needed to be an amount of time between treatment and paint.
I can see why you want to paint it black to match the other timber on the house. Makes perfect sense.:):):):):)

I will have to look into the time-lag from "dip in preservative" to "able to take paint", I wasn't aware of that, but it makes sense.
I am not keen on the green/blue tint of the dip, but I know the timber fades to a silver-grey in time as you said.
Herself wants her Barn black, so Black it shall be (eventually).
