Just been chatting with one of the IT blokes at the new place and he's leaving because of all the bull.

This really doesn't bode well....

Sounds as if your day has started off as well as mine BUT mine went even worse!

The first place I came to had a road closure with 'diversion' signs.:( Being rural you can only imagine the huge detour going further and further north before meeting the trunk north south road -Welshpool to Newtown. Half an hour later and I am back on track approaching the Newtown bypass until STOP! A major smash, fortunately no-one seriously injured I was told even though one of the cars had almost been demolished, but so far, none of the emergency services had arrived on scene. A local was doing his best to advise the already huge tailbacks that it looks as if a three hour wait would be ahead. The nearest detour? Yes, turn round and go north - again, giving way to a police vehicle making its way through the enormous queue on the single carriageway, before doing a few country lanes off east and then turning south again. I would not have been able to do this with the 'van attached!

Eventually, I have arrived home having done a one and a half hour journey in three and a half hours. My canines had given up and used a folded towel in their compartment for the essential porta potty. Good thinking really.

I have now decided not to return tonight as that would be a bit cruel for the dogs - two long journeys in one day.

Can you beat that for 'adventure'?

Whenever we leave, to go away for a long time, i always make a list to try and make sure things don't get forgotten or forgotten to be done, like turn the gas off, empty all the rubbish out.
Several times we have had to rely on neighbours to go in and do this sort of thing for us.
Once brought my out-of-date passport with me. got halfway to Portsmouth before Wifey checked them for some reason and discovered it.
I have to write lists, copious amounts of them! Clothes were on the lists - in detail - but once I had collected them altogether I crossed them off the 'to do' list.

He's been dipped in undercoat, gloss and watta. sits in watta in his yogurt pot when not used. Until the watta evaporates.
All good sheds and garages are ornamented by a selection of solidified paint brushes in jars from which the white spirit or water has long since evaporated. For best results they should be displayed in a festoon of cobwebs and dead bluebottles on the garage windowsill. This gives the impression that the household has been home to a long tradition of craftsmanship.

Have a good night!;)

Aha!
That is why I tick them off when I've moved them into the hall, but only cross them off once they are in the car or the trailer.
Each to their own method.;)
Last summer I put my favourite LED torch in the car but totally forgot about the special charger. Didn't even put it on a list!
Had to buy another cheapo torch.
And boy did I search everywhere at least twice before realising this is what I'd done.:mad::mad:

Ooops!
If it were me I'd get some propah brush restorer. Summat like this https://www.screwfix.com/p/zinsser-...bgu8Ij5P93PzoDvDtBAaArNEEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
Never needed it, but i really rate Zinzer BIN stuff. So this may be OK.
Others who know will come on and comment. But I know how long it takes to get a decent brush to the point where it really gives a good finish. :):):)

When I was a rep and often had to ask directions, (long before sat nav, tinternet and mobile phones) I'd try and find a kid or two to ask, for the simple reason that a kid will either tell you, or tell you they don't know.
But adults who don't know, some of them at least, would either lie, to save face, or to deliberately send you wrong for the laugh.
Nowadays I'd a got locked up!
So I feel sorry for the lorry driver, well at least a bit.;)

I was trying to find a Somerfield store back in the day. Saw an old biddy walking along with Somerfield bags. Bingo! Asked directions. Got directions
Fortunately stopped before I had got too far into the bowling green carpark with footpath access to the store!
At least I could see where I wanted be be now :D

Get the bike out and start her up I thought, pre mot check then book it in.
Didn't happen , no fuel getting through so tank off.
Still only fuel to one carb so carbs off
all cleaned out so hopefully brum brum tomorrow
