Bright but cool here.
A lump of beef to slow-cook for tonight's dinner. :)
just going to slather it in oil & fresh thyme and fry it to seal the edges. Then in the slow cooker with coarse chopped celery, onion & carrots.
1 stockpot melted in 1/2 pint red wine. on High for 1 hour and low for 7 hours. Can't be beat. Yum! :)

Do you fill it with liquid so the meat is submerged or is the liquid only half way up the side of the meat?

We have done beef or chuck casserole in our slow cooker but never a chunk of meet like a leg.

I has a lump of beef for neaster. I dunt like pink meat (steady there lads),
so I fink I'll give that a go, is the finished article all fall aparty?

Me casserole beef be very soft when cooked int slow cooker. Eye dun't know if a bigger bit of meat would be same same. But eye guess it would. The fing eye dun't know is if yer need to submerge it int liquid. Me beef casserole is submerged.
