I think lack of customers. The police are happily asking people (not local in cars)where they are going. Only happens over the border with funny writing.
The lockdown in this area is certainly being observed. I think people are fed up with the restricted life that has been forced on us by the virus that they are desperate to do everything possible to try to 'move on'. I did notice that the burger bars have closed down, too.

Thats the rub, it may be too good an offer to turn down in the current situation as selling the house may prove difficult for a couple of months!
I had to draw a line under working at my last place for my own sanity and I was fortunate enough to have some fundage put aside so I didn't have to find a new job immediately.

If you're happy enough to put up with the reasons why you're leaving in the first place just to get a salary then I suppose it's the right thing to do in the current situation. :)

@Shimsteriom did you get run ragged in your last few days? I am getting a bit fed up with it :) I was supposed to have the afternoon off but it has been call after call :(
I quickly showed someone & made sure they wrote it down as once Iv gone that’s it.
Oh I kept the phone number every one used for me & said I tell them the new number once then block them.
There were 2 of us who left with 20years each of knowledge. And we now both work at the same relaxing place.

No, I am not happy to continue, that is why I brought it forward 2 months. I didn't think we would plunge into LD3 this year (very short sighted of me!!)

This is what they are in a panic about, all the knowledge disappearing :)

Doesn't sound great, although I must admit I have no idea what it is.
My immune system is too active and it is attacking me constantly. Brilliant in a pandemic except I inject a drug every month which keeps it in check. If I stop the drug, as was proven late last year, the condition gets so bad I cannot walk.
I have lived with it for 5 years so I want to get away from the rat race and play in my workshop until I can't :)

Thanks for the explanation. That sounds grim, but you seem to have evolved a strategy to deal with it. So best of luck!

As far as I know, buying and selling houses is a permitted activity, and has been since June.
Stamp Duty Holiday ends on April the 1st, I think, so there would be an argument for trying to complete before that.
+1^
Loads of house have been sold around where we live.
I heard somewhere that the Stamp Duty holiday has pushed prices up!

Mrs sends me a photo of my landy tyre & asks if this is ok. I said yes

I then get another few photos later to say I could not go more than 30mph on the way home(look at the heights of the tyres to body)

I won’t ask what’s in the back but I would say it would not fit in the Prius
