Aftermornin you lot :)
We had the fire pit blazzin yesterday afternoon started with a nice cuppa tea
very frosty outside & very relaxing,
Before long the neighbours came out & so did the rum an vodka got in about 12ish
everyone was well oiled an I decided to buy everyone a Chinese, great wee night. :D

Still frosty & sunny

Done me some plumdering this mornin.

The cistern did come away from the basin so access to the fill valve was easy. Ordered a new one from scroofix :)
Normal service soon to be resumed :D

Mine goes off at 7.03am precisely, every day and in the summer it is 6.05am. How he knows the time with such precision I do not know but if I don't get up he will get his nose under my hand, arm etc, in fact any bit that is sticking out of the duvet, and 'throw' it up in the air with a very powerful thrust - he wants to go out!:):):)
Us dugs ztart aboat 0500 normly unless em be veelin rebellyus when it be 0430. The Doris trips laightly doanztairs an feeds em their Skinners which em be most partial tu. The Skinners be a caffolick famly zo em duddun miss the odd teen. Us boys geddup aroan 0600 wen her ev mopped up blud. Dugs be quiet then till zunrize wen em goaz up ont moors.

Sympathise, ours do similar.
but it's more drawn out. the youngest "needs" to be taken out at least once in the night, we tend to take it in turns, and i never had kids so i think it is very much a bit much.
Then again earlyish in the a.m. so out they go again, then back to bed until the young one decides she wants a game, usually throwing her squeaky ball. but they settle down eventually and if we don't set an alarm we can not wake again till 10, 11, or even later. 11.30 this a.m.
Much worse in the winter. We do surface earlier in the summer.
But I will start setting an alarm tomoz as I have so much to do and must get on with it.
What was that song called "January" ?
"January
Sick and tired you've been hanging on me
You make me sad with your eyes
You're telling me lies
Don't go
Don't go
January
Don't be cold
Don't be angry to me. You make me sad
Come and see
Oh
January
Don't go
Don't go
Life gets me higher
I can show
I can go
I can wake up the world
Little world gotta know you
Gotta show you
Sun
Like a fire
Carry on
Don't be gone
Bring me out of my home
Sweet home
Gotta know me
Gotta show me
You've been facing the world
You've been chasing the world.
January
Sick and tired you've been hanging on me
Time
It's a flyer
Sunny days
Fly away
English summers are gone.
So long
Gotta go up
Gotta grow up."

Yeah right, at 65, i've gotta grow up, and get me harris outa bed!
They just don't write songs like that anymore. Thank god. what a load of twaddle!:mad::mad::mad::mad:
There, i've started!:(

Wouldn't wanna be a sparky by profession, unless it was always doin new builds.

Damn....

After driving 40 miles to collect me diafram washer and then fitting it the inlet mechanism is still leaking very slightly and given the pressure of the water it's making a hissing noise inside the cistern. Whatever is causing the leak is very small as the water is coming out the form of a fine mist. I think there's more wrong with this than just a knackered rubber washer.

I might have to call a plumbder because if I start messing any more I'm bound to make it worse. :D

Prolly got a bit of limescale stuck in the valve bit, so it's not seating properly ...

Was up on time today, but the alarm on my watch DID NOT sound so that's probably why I have been oversleeping. :)
Paper's got, cat has been fed etc. etc.
1st coffee down and one to go.
Home Gyming it today...later.
I put my lathe back together yesterday and my changes have improved things (I think).
Still waiting for a technical response from the e-bay seller. But I am holding out little hope.
I have also asked him why his ad shows a known good brand of 3-Jaw chuck yet he has supplied a generic no-name item on this lathe. :(
Caveat Emptor (It must be Latin for "he saw you coming mate") or what?
You all have a great day :D
