Edgar ses er crispmus tree.
Been there, done that and the last Christmas tree ended up as the centrepiece of the festivities in the local primary school after reaching eighteen feet high!
My garden is heavily focused on being evergreen ( Arbutus, Yew, Bay, Holly, Juniper, Rhododendron, Camelia, Bottlebrush, Rosemary, etc ) and winter flowering, so it will be something to fit in with this.

My plumber carefully wound 'electricians' tape round all the copper pipe that was going through walls etc. I thought that was a weird thing to do until he explained it all.:)

Any cement based product will eat the copper away over time, I had a major leak in one house in the kitchen floor slab because the pipe wasn't wrapped in polythene, took ages to locate

Morning All :D
A wet & cold day here.
Always a bit sad on this day, my late fathers birthday, and his last child (my sister's) born 3 months after he died. :(
But it is only 2 more sleeps till Christmas. :)
Have a splendid day everyone. :D

I know what you mean both my parents passed away in December so it is a bit of an odd month, I could quite easily fast forward but my daughter loves christmas still so I try and get with the celebrations.

Question- did you mean grandchild as for a moment I heard banjo's playing o_O;)

NO, my Dad had 3 wives. Hannah (my step-sister) was born on Dec 23rd 1986 (he had passed away in the September of that year). Hannah is 30+ years younger than me.

....My "ghast" is well and truly flabbered this morning.

I am all too well aware of the verbal battering one gets if one ignores clothes or bog-rolls placed on top of a newel-post and does NOT deliver them to their intended destination (married men will understand this phenomenon).;)
So, I brought 3 loo-rolls that were atop the upstairs newel post down to the downstairs bog but was a bit confused as there were already at least 3 rolls on the "pending" stack.
Wife comes down and tells me the 3 rolls I brought down are destined for her Mother (who I went shopping for on Monday night and who didn't have loo-roll on her list!!!).
But wait, there's more.....
Why does the old lady have no loo roll?
Because that "ar$hole waste of effing space" son of hers took all 3 of her loo rolls when he visited on Sunday because he didn't have any at his home.:mad::mad::mad:
So "WE" end up providing replacements because HE can't manage his own ar$e-wiping affairs.
Thanks for listening...I needed to get that off my chest. :D

You know I only log in to get the next instalment of your merry life! Mine is so mundane I feed off your vibes :)
But yes, I do know all about the items on the stairs for delivery ;)

Guid morn

Cracking day dry and cool

Zoom meeting with Administrator yesterday, they confirmed we will receive full salary for December payable on the 31st, brilliant.
As for next year we await to learn if a buyer can be found for the business, but with this Covid issue its unlikley.
