Good evening from Enfield.
Long day but now feet up watching tv. Tis Friday later & hopefully all will get better.
Oh he was this mornings problem:oops:
(Was ok I still had 1 more tyre holding me up)

Is it normal for two tyres on the same axle and on the same side caving in at the same time?

UPDATE
Just read on and found the answer.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Oh dear! I wonder if this is the way Norton are 'forcing' peeps to join their auto renewal???????
If your download that long then I stand no chance at the speed mine works at - 1.9mbps max.:(
It was a fecking nightmare which would have been a lot simpler if a/ they had told you to uninstall all and any protection you already had and b/ if nortons installation prog automatically used its own thing to uninstall its own old versions.
Also they need to keep an eye on the hackers connected either by their own employees or on websites that look too similar to their own. I still don't know how I got to that point and obvs with wifey being who she is i am ultra careful.
If you've been on Norton , I'd go on MacAfee. They are better in some ways, automatic regular scans etc for instance.
My download didn't take that long, it was clearing up the pooter before hand , being hacked etc was the prob!

How's everyone tonight, all good I hope.
We got some more decking done today & it was a lovely day weather wise. :):)
No pics today sorry.
I came in tonight & I had to change the grill elements on the cooker...
Cooker turned off then got my phone to use as a light jammed it under the rhs element so I could see
what I was doing, undone the left one pulled it out then got hold off the 2 spade connectors at the back
then the phone rang I fkn shatt myself haha

All sorted & ive had a spa bath so cheers you lot .... rum n coke in hand.

McAfee is my thought but I can feel my mouse finger shaking at the thought of just starting the process!!:):)

There shouldn't be a problem uninstalling av software. He's one of few that's had trouble on this occasion. Lots if peeps switch between providers each year.
Agree completely.
This is the first time i have ever had such a problem, or series of problems. And as you say, I switch antivirus provider every year.
The key issue seems to be that the Norton that was left behind on the system a coupla years ago, needed a special Norton uninstaller to get rid of it, as the one on my pooter couldn't shift it. Once I downloaded Norton's special one, it went like a dream.

I'd go for Macafee, but maybe a quiet chat with hippo first? to see what you need to uninstall etc first?
although each time i've installed Macafee I've never had a problem.
Best of luck with whatever you decide to do.
But i deffo get the impression each company is trying reeeeely hard to make you stay with them. I got within 2mm of giving up with Norton and staying with Macafee and thus paying the normous reinstall fee!

I gave up on norton years ago Macafee for me.

Well today was a better day, in parts!
Final bit of varnish on the new kitchen door then went to rehang it. Squeaks and stiffness from the hinge side. The clearance between the door and the stop had gone due to the paint! so i ought reeely to bar the ffin thing off and either plane the edge off and repaint or move it a mm or two away from the door. i have too much to do so simply put some oil on it, it don't squeak no more, but it is a bodge.
Then decided to get to the bottom of the kitchen light that flickers after a while then kills the bulb.
Took it off, found the wire I had put in was hugely long so a bit easier to work with, connected and old standard light fitting and left it switched on in the hole to see if it behaved the same. It didn't so i assume the wiring to that point is OK, then dismantled the cwiling light testing all the connections and resistances as I went not obvs problems so, discarding the mount and reflector, reconnected it and left it on, in the hole for ages to see if it would play up, it didn't so I think it might just have been the contacts inside the bulb holder.
So, all would be fine, but then, while preparing drinks i managed to knock a wineglass with my apéro over on the worktop, bust glass, sh!t.
Then minutes later, taking out the hot bulb that I had put in the light fitting to test it, I dropped that too, on the same worktop! I am never normally that clumsy, although I do not recommend an oven glove to hold a hot lightbulb.:(. Wifey was surprisingly not upset at all! But doesn't glass go everywhere!
Anyway, have a good evening!

Haha Ive got torches I was too lazy to go an get one :D:D
I even bought a load of spare batteries they dont seam to last though, my torches are xp1 troopers
ones it the workshop are sealey led magnetic rechargeable things. Cheeky bugger lol
Yep couldn't imagine you not bein properly equipped! but it is when you carn't be assed and take a short cut!
When wifey cleans the oven in frogland, which is in the range cooker, so low down, she can never get low enough to do it's roof, so guess who gets to try and spray the cleaner on the top surface?! They don't like pointing upwards so I always seem to get a mouthful if I ain't careful!
She never seems to be able to do things like taking the side bits out that the racks sit on. Lots of little things like this!
Still waiting for the time wifey can manage a fiddly little job on a car better than I can!;)
My rechargeable workshop light was great until the batt couldn't hold charge anymore.
Wifey bought me a fab torch, small but powerful BYBlight. love it to bits, and runs on either a rechargeable or a pack of AAs. Came with a reely powerful little solar powered key-ring light too. :):):)
Stepdaughter asked me what I wanted for Xmas so I am getting her to get me one of those kits with mirrors on extendable sticks, some with lights, magnets and even one that takes sockets.
What do you give to the bloke who has everything?
In my case an F off big, high garage with a 4 post or 2 post or both lifts!!!
I'm not holding my breath;).

Tbh I use my phone torch often as ive always got it with me, plus it has a little stand so it can be angled
upwards. Ive got a full set of extendable mirrors, mags an the grab has been an amazing tool over the
years. A ramp in the garage at home would be a dream.
