Mornin’ all, ‘tis lovely day here

Stepped out the front door to take the dogs for my nightly walk around some local tracks..

The lovely cat had left a nice juicy rat just where my foot landed, I slipped and then proceeded to land arse first on a squishy rat, which exploded like a toothpaste tube when my arse hit it!:mad:

Needless to say I was a tad taken aback by the spectacle that lay squished in front of me.. o_O

I defo have to pressure wash it off the patio, no way is a spade gonna remove this feller!

He's thinner than a piece of A4 and his guts are............. somewhere!:D

Ah..

Another pair of jeans i'm gonna have to wash in bleach! ;)
You poor sod, :(:(:(

Just ffed about taking the bust thermostat off our 300 litre hot water tank.
The thing we never use, normally.
Was puzzled by the thermocouples and didn't dare do much once the wiring was all disconnected. It ain't a rod.
So got ont internet and found some have two lickle ones, a gentle pull and it all came out!
Result!
Now begins the fun of finding a new one and not paying the earth for it.
CCL here I come!

mixed success, they can order exactly the same stat, :):):)but it'll cost at least €160.
Ouch! for something we use once or twice a year.:(:(:(
And our one in the UK has lasted since fitted in 1982!
We've even replaced the tank!
Must admit the one that's bust is full of rust. It lives indoors attahced to a tank in the understairs cupboard. Have to assume that this is condensation caused over the winter when we are away and the heating is off or right down, and the tank ticks over at 10 degrees.
Next one will have holes drilled in the box to allow air in and water vapour out!

...and I've somehow done my back in. I was standing in front of the tank taking the blessed stat off and taking photos to make sure all would be OK on replcament when suddenly I could barely move.
Happens rarely and when it does I never know what caused it.
So all other plans are off for the mo. Just going shopping was no fun at all.
:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Still wifey is a lot better and eating more or less solid food.:):):)

How long does it tend to take to recover from it?

Varies but i have known it take over a week. I will take pain killers and try to do a lot of walking which is natures way, but if it doesn't improve quickish I'll get my "Calanetics for your Back" book out and do the exercises twice a day.
Last year I tried to find a chiroprator but there is only one some distance away and he/she was away on holiday. so I went to an osteopath and her stand-in had a go. I was nowhere near as bad then as I am now but it was in an annoying place and stopping me from working with my right shoulder. What she did though weird seeming to me, did in fact help it a lot.
The pain today is much worse and debilitating but i recognise it and know how to deal with it. In the UK one session, possibly two, with a decent, strong chiro sorts me out, but it has to be a strong man or woman, (never met a wimmins yet who can do it!) They perform a special manoeuvre it all cracks and whoosh, I'm off again. The dodgy vertebra(e) is/are just simply put back into place.
The problem is how I did it in the first place. (1972) If I had done it the conventional way, i.e. by lifting too heavy a weight awkwardly, then it would be easier to fix.:rolleyes::rolleyes:
But thanks for asking!:)
