I was at the house of doom all day today and we managed to complete a few more small jobs.
  1. Kitchen extractor unit wired-up installed and working.
  2. Broken washing machine repaired, tested and working fine
  3. Sticking Bedroom-Door taken off, trimmed and re-hung.
  4. 4 new dimmable LED downlighters wired in and installed into the bathroom ceiling.
  5. False floor constructed to cover the Underfloor heating pipes as they exit the main floor and head out under the stairs and into the garage.
  6. Front door PIR light installed.
I'm aching like a ba$tard and ready for some G&T, TV watching and bed. :D
Christ! I hope my missus don't see this, it would take me a month of Sunday's to do all that.

you must have missed a bit lol... the short of it was, gov said you can go back to the office, so which bit of that dont you understand? lol!! non negotiable
they're pulling employees from another office one day a week to help with numbers in my office, says it all really
Had to turn the system off two nights as there was thunderstorms in the region and last night didn't really catch up.
Sorry to hear this.
It'll be like the schools, OK until someone catches it then he'll have to rethink his attitude.
"Duty of care" seems to be a concept he doesn't understand.
Maybe someone else can be called in to tell him this, or is the company not big enough that there IS someone else
As with so many, the "impression " he gives, or his company gives, seems to be more important than actually getting the job done.
All a big ego show. His dick must be tiny!
(Ought to feel sorry for him really!)

I'd have left several years ago if I'd had the courage to just hand my notice in but my mortgage was higher than it is now.
The new guy is giving up a self-employed status to work full time which does have it's benefits but also its downsides.
He's a really decent bloke as well so I hope I'm wrong and that it does work out for him.
This made me think a bit harder about how I felt about my job.
There were bits I absolutely hated and bits I'd have done for no pay. and yes I had a wife and a mortgage to support.

And yet I jacked in another job where the boss was a real darlin and I got on with all my other coworkers brilliantly. Quite enjoyed the job too, technical rep, but in the end the loneliness off all the driving got to me. That and the desire to get on and "better" myself!
So my hat is off to peeps like @Hicap phill who do it all day long.
Mind you didn't have even CB then never mind mobiles!

You know what mate?
You should take it up professionally!:D

Morning All:D
Not too bad a day here, herself has gone-off for the paper and her mum's meat order at the butchers.:)
I am still having problems with my right arm (can't do lateral raises without pain) but it feels a little less severe (or I am just getting used to it). :(
I need to hire a 4-level scaffold tower for next week (bound to make it rain all week ) so that I can paint the front of the house before the new windows arrive. :)
I am hoping for a relatively restful weekend. :)
You all have a lovely time :D
