An acre and a half quarry, one three ton digger, some very steep slopes, I'm allowed to open it 14 times a year, I just need some ideas of obsticles.

Any hardcore off roaders want to come and have a look and give some advice?? :D

Just off the A1 in Hertfordshire (Welwyn).

rollers, side slopes, water holes, winching slopes, short steep slopes, burger van, bogs, jet wash area... a jungle track forest section would be nice :) but you may not have that.

Basically, we have 3 steep slopes, about 40ft. One VERY muddy hole. A log bridge. 2 tricky slopes (sidewards). We were thinking about a seesaw. and a burger van!! ;)

Still need to clear the banks, but I need someone to tell me how steep they can get up! And they aren't very firm.

Planning to have winching points! B ut I have cut most of my trees down coz I kept hitting them! :p

What are rollers???

Do you know where I can find any good pictures to give me some ideas?

just google pay and play sites. minety 4x4, foxhams, muddy bottom. those are some over here in the west. you get rollers on BMX tracks. just 1-2ft humps spaced closely, great for getting your landy cross axled ;) they had some at minety which i enjoy driving. helps you learn how to pass potential cross axle situation. cut down trees! doh!

i suggest building slopes steep. if they are loose they will quickly lose their gradient. how about a couple of scrap cars too :D monsterjam style!

read the post heffs... he has a log bridge. i can only assume its the same thing.

treetrunks and logs are pretty similar you know ;)

ok I'll admit to that one.

what about a big one of these then

An acre and a half is not that big, you'll need to restrict numbers on your site at any one time or you could be heading for probs.

Let us know when you are ready to have it tested. I'm sure the herts laners will be available to try it out, and let you know our honest thoughts.:crazy_driver:

You may be allowed 14 days without planning permission, but can you make permanent structures?

be willing to give advise and time to have a look for you! used to going to alot of pay n play days i no what you need!

deep water is always good, a 'sheep dip' would be a laugh (like the one at billing, but with mud banks

I bet the neighbours in Old Welwyn love this idea :)

A wish from someone with a 2 year old 90, is somewhere that is challenging without damaging.

I want to get stuck, dirty and have fun without wrecking the car.
I took mine to Woodlands in Kent and although a great place, I was left with scratches down all panels.
On the same day 2 people ended up with broken windows ( tree damage ) and one person ended up with a broken steering rack.
