Get home from work...

Get the wood burner going and after a short while....

My Defender is used to fetch logs which are gratis :D
therefore I can justify spending money on spares so we can stay warm. My wife thinks it's a good idea and that's all that matters. And occasionally I'm allowed to go for a play :D

Mate if you get your kicks watching someone else doing your job you've got problems and not the sort rectified by little blue pills:oops: and if your missus is enjoying it then maybe she's telling you something...... Unless you mean walking the dog as in the four legged labrador variety in which case good on her

My missus doesn't like driving my Defender as its noisy, smelly and goes where it wants.....but its bloody handy for chain harrowing the horse fields, fetching bales of hay for said horses and for chucking the grubby dogs in. So she likes it really!

My wife borrowed mine one day and rang up in a panic saying there was smoke coming from it and it wouldn't go very fast, she'd left the hand brake on which is one of those extreme engineering disk brake ones and now the pads rattle

No need to ask my wife I wanted 1 so I got 1. It is purely a boys toy and the odd time I tow the horse trailer with it and obviously go off roading in it.

Ah the joys of no kids and a wife who knows her place, try doing that when you've got a couple of sprogs running around the place and I'll bet she'd kick your head in. :D

Can't help noticing it's very hot in your house. I find it getting a bit stuffy when it gets over about 15 C myself.

15 degrees  I'd still have my coat on and my wife would be wearing a hat and gloves, mind you we did have it over 30 once in the winter and we had to open the back door cos that was a bit too much :D. There's few things in life better than free heat

Heheh, If my wife asked me to justify the 90 I'd tell her to go away .. or similar!

I rarely drink, 'cept at weekends when out, don't smoke, don't go down the pub anymore and have very few other expenses so if she doesn't like me having a hobby she can do one ..

She goes to weightwatchers and all the extra do's they have, she does line-dancing, goes out with the lasses almost every weekend and generally spends way more than me on everything, especially clothes and shoes ... but we just celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary so I guess we understand and just suit each other! ;)

Our wives must be related, shes always trying to get me to go with her, no thanks!
I honestly think thats why some marriages last so long as the two people arent glued to each other 24/7, have their own hobbies and do their own things.

My Mrs gets told that I get things free for my landy off friends... How she still believes it is beyond me but on the other hand if I notice she's wearing something I haven't seen before I get the 'I've had this ages' line. As long as the kids get what they want and need when she asks for it she's pretty sound about what I have. I would love a log burner tho. Plenty of trees where I go off reading lol

Towing trees down the garden, then I'll log them.
Towing boats, ( 304.8 mm to the foot scale)
Carrying railways, ( 4mm to the foot scale)
Carrying a ton of sand from the nearest quarry, and all the stuff from DIY stores.
Travelling to work when SWMBO has the car or its at the MOT ( next week)
Travelling to work when there is too much snow for the car.

Oh I need an excuse for having a 110, err..... collecting stuff from up north when SWMBO relatives die.

Oh and my house has its temperature set to 15C, but the living room has a burner for the above mentioned logs. When we go to bed, we open the living room door the heat rushes up the stairs to the bedroom.
We tried the central heating at 21C back in 2000 and got a bill for over £200, that what one brick walls facing the north sea does for you.
