I was taught in both and still think in both depending on what's being measured and the scale.....

It gives me far more opportunity to be wrong :)

Now that is thinking I can agree with 100%. Even though I was taught in metric I still talk about feet and inches.

Have been known to forget myself and order in both sizes when buying ...

its worth learning the history, im 50 and was taught both , imperial i still use
Maybe it was soooooo long ago I've forgotten about the imperial stuff.

Feet and inches I can think in and visualise but when peeps start talking about eighths and sixteenths I'm lost.

So remind me again which is bigger 3/16 or 3/8 or 1/4???????

I let the wife drive it, I have my Defender.;)

Over the years the towing weight and the total combined weight changed on Freelanders. Don't know why or if they realised something was wrong. Perhaps to fit changing regulations.
Don't ferget the rule of thumb of only towing up to max 80% of towing vehicle weight as a guide.
Freelander 1 is about 1650kg on it's own.
I've towed tratters and RR's oft road when they were stuck and ma hippo managed ok. Weight would be over 2 ton. :p
