Is that miles to gearbox failure?Does it stay at 22 as soon as you reset it or does it settle there after a few miles?

Take the divers boot off your right foot. On a run I can get 29.6I’d be happy with 22mpg if you don’t want it, mine won’t go higher than 14 mpg on a good day

I’m running petrol through a 4.2 at sub 20mph for the most part. I can get a reading of 26mpg down hill and wind behind but I have to change the screen or look away as soon as the road levels off .Take the divers boot off your right foot. On a run I can get 29.6
The milage I do these days I could live with that,I’m running petrol through a 4.2 at sub 20mph for the most part. I can get a reading of 26mpg down hill and wind behind but I have to change the screen or look away as soon as the road levels off .

Do the fuel gauge & trip meter work ?
Are you resetting the right trip consumption?
I have Trip 1 & 2 but I only reset Trip 1. Mine's a 2005.
I follow your example and brim the cars every fill and never go below half full except on a long run. With diesel, keeping the tank full reduces condensation in the tank and so reduces the problem of bacterial growth. What's the problem with doing a 'brim to brim' ?
The old methods are the best, instead of relying on all this digital crap.
nb. I brim both the Classic & our daily drive every time they need fuel. If there's another imaginary fuel 'shortage' (like last October) we have enough petrol until the panic is over
