All sounds similar to my bobtail EFi on previous occasion..... this also turned out to be crap in rad fins.
I'm wondering if anyone on the net does rad 'mufflers/covers' for the front grill when off roading at 10mph (or thereabouts)....would save the overheating on the M62 on the way home when full of mud cos the 8 year old kid chargin £6 hasn't pressure washed the front properly:doh:

Ok laugh if you want. Down on the farm we have same problem when we chop corn silage the corn tossel (maze) does the same thing to the chopper trucks. we fit in the screen with about 1/8 holes(like window screen) both side of the radiator 1 in front between the inner cooler and radator , in back between the radator and oil cooler, held in with zip ties. then you use air or water to clean. works good we chop 3000 acres corn 3000 hay a year:D:D:D

2 things.......

1) Salisbury mud both sets like concrete and is horrendously corrosive. I think Patman forgot to clean it off his 110 and found it was rotting like Emmental a month later.

2) I have a sheet of steel, that I slide in front of the rad, that blocks the Rad whilst going thru muddy water. It seems to work.
