Sounds like fun!! How deep were the drifts; the ones I did in Wales were up to the top of the bonnet on the Rangey.

Hard to say really as the snow had pretty much filled the lane, all I knew was that when it stopped me and I started to spin I was sinking, so pretty deep. I wasn't finding the tarmac underneath at all.
Thinking back this morning, god knows how I would have got out if I'd have got really stuck, waited till Spring probably.:D

Hahaha know that feeling! but then again you got a phone don't ya?

BTW was watching the weather forecast at lunchtime, Sunday looks favourite for a drop more snow - could be interesting.

Hey People,

PUB MEET,

Right where do we want it?

Options:

Original Place? (a bit far for the majority of people)
Latest Place? (a bit small to accomodate us lot tables too small)

I tried up at Half Moon at the end of the Byway however it was closed.

I will put forward The Leciester Arms Luton just off Junction 11 get on well with the manager and they are happy to do what they can althought its not a country pub and the food is just pub food. Bbut I will put it forward as a suggestion. Anyone else??? I want to get somwhere sorted so we can let the local club know where to attend if they feel they want to attend. Jai

Hi Jai!

1 - Don't care!!

2 - That's a shame, would have been a good spot.

3 - Leicester Arms; I'd rather not but happy to go with the majority.

Dunno where else to suggest. Will have a think about it and if inspiration strikes I'll let ya know.

Right, had a quick think.

What about Caddington? there are two pubs close together and both have reasonably big car parks, it's not too far away so what do you reckon - worth a look see or don't bother?

I reckon its worth a try out not too far from the Motorway either,

I only really know 2 pubs in Caddington the cricketers and the chequers I think a old friend of mine works in one of them but there is some others close by. From memory one of them was quite small inside but hey Im game for a try out

maybe i shouldn have listend to the sales man or the little man on my shoulder saying buy it! buy it!

ive not needed rescuing yet! hows yr lady going?

Lol Well My landy is up and runing now we could come down one weekend get a few of us I'll do some phoning around and see who's up for it?

When would be ok to come play Lone Ranger? I think Ryder should have first Dibs as he got out in the freezing cold water at midnight to put the rope on while I stayed in the warm dry Landy!

Wednesday Pub meet After much looking about I think its best to go back to the original Pub Meet opposite Brocket Hall. I know I know I posted it but feck it! Please Bring any suggestions I reckon Steve/ClassicKev has the best idea so far holding it up at Whipsnade 1 being their local and 2 supports a good pub and isn't too far for the offroad club people to meet and chat get involved and 3 If the landlord is willing then he could arrange some bigger tables etc if need be. Lets Discuss at this Pub meet and go from there. Jai
