right i believe my power steering pump is knackered, which is also causing the fan belt to shred a bit. so new pump arriving tomorrow. tonight i tried to drain the rad so i can take off the cowling for the fan - but the hose clip holding the bottom is so bloody siezed i cant for the life of me get it out. more force required, but it really is crazy siezed!

Is the Pump seized?

You need a 1/4 drive 7mm or 8mm hex socket for undoing hose clips occasionally they come in 6mm aswell but not that often.

Sorry to have missed the pub this month folks. Be there next time though. Glad to hear it was a success and will be attending the xmas meal... 2 seats pls. Meself and K.

Hope the weekend goes well Jai, Sunday should be a blast... just sorry my daughter got born on the wrong day and it stops us going. Damn inconsiderate females!

right im home, gone past red again but nothing else happened thank god - cheers for the help an friendly voice jai! basically my plan is tomorrow at 8.30 i will head off to the local landy dealer parts section, hopefully get hold of 2 of the correct bolts for the PAS pulley, and a new fan belt on top of all that - fingers crossed i should be in wales by 12 - only 18 hours late but **** it not through want of trying

thanks again

Hey Carpy just take it easy with that temp guage you have no waterpump running on a diesel thats like a minute and it can all get far too hot. Don't be ruining your engine to get sorted quick.

it ent moving anywhere at all from now on without the fan belt back on! landy is on the drive, and tomorrow morning i will borrow a vehicle to get to the parts place to pick up the 2 bolts and fan belt, drive back and fit them - then if all runs well head off. with any luck it wont be doing any more driving without the fan belt in place, so the water pump and fan should be working the whole time - fingers crossed

only possibility is that its already ****ed but didnt show any issues getting back - im hoping not

If you get stuck for the right bolts let me know the exact depth from the bottom of the head to end of thread I can cut down some here and remake the threaded end. Fit them with some spring washers and mabe a small ammount of locktite you will be on ur way. Alternativly ring Autoland and see if they have them in stock I can pick them up if you need.

Carpy you need to be carefull running it hot, TDi 300 head gaskets go really easy, know for it. Still stuck with this crap cold, Don't think i could handle bolting down a tdi 300 head at the moment.

Help ! Does anyone have some 90 Side Panels (the ones that go under the roof at the back), either van or station wagon, that I can buy and pick up today or tomorrow !

would panels from an 88 work?

Not on a 90 they are too short, but you can fit em to the back of a 110SW to give you the commercial station wagon look... Which i think looks the bollocks

Well..., We we went trialling today. Youngest neice did a superb job, 5th on first JTV Trial first time ever driving the modded tractor, beat some of the other boys that usually drive it, so good job done!

Muddyduck was a good day good have been competing against you hopefully we will get both our motors done on a budget so we can drive how we want to drive them without worrying about breaking somone elses motor. A couple of CCV motors for some serious fun would be great.
